FC Utrecht @ Nieuwe Galgenwaard

Looks like they've had a similar start to the season as us. Sitting down at 12th in the Eredivisie. I'd like to see a fuller strength side this week. Keep giving the lads time on the pitch together.

Johnson Skrtl Agger Konch
     Gerrard Meireles
Kuyt       Cole       Jova

Saw Utrecht in a EL qualifier over there. They are not a good side, you should definitely do them.

Aha. Poulsen. I want to cry when I see this guy on our teamsheet. Just awful. Really hope he doesn't play. I'd like to see Lucas given a go in the defensive midfield role. Don't really think Gerrard is up to playing deeper like he has been. If we put Lucas next to Meireles then Raul can offer the link from midfield up to Gerrard. Not a huge fan of Jova either. Hopefully Pacheco can get a bit of game time in this game.. Thought he shoulda come on against Sunderland for DK near the end.

October 11th. Gah. "All we are saying is sell up and go".

Yeah, atm, we can't "definitely do" anyone

I was just thinking this morning how infected we've become by those two texan t**sers. Not only are we fighting to save our club from the owners we're fighting against the board (which I don't fully understand, they're the only 3 people on the planet right now with any real say against the owners). We're fighting against banks and financial institutions, we're also fighting amongst ourselves about all of the above, about managers and players and stadiums and so much shyte at the moment that we've barely been able to get behind our team who currently look like they're searching for the life rafts as the ship goes down. I'm just looking forward to supporting my team again and not having to wonder who or what the owners are up to. I want to have a chat and debate over our first choice players for the weekend, whether Nando looked hotter with short or long hair and most importantly where the PL Trophy will go in the pool room once we get our mits on it. I won't really even care too much if we have a losing streak, I'll happily put it down to 'being sport'. I just want my club back.

Tell Skrtel or someone to bobsled Thomas Oar for me please. If not, Zullo will do.

Don't think either will be playing.

Carra for Blackpool. Roy won't play Agger twice in a row so Carra slots back in. He can have a rest.

Raced up to the stadium this arvo before heading home. Just needed people to know that H&G will never be welcome in Welly.

Terry's enough work as it is right now

Was it as bad as the commentary I was reading implied?!

Best guess: Roy - Utrecht are a tough side at home and to come away with a deserved point is wonderful. I didn't really expect too much more from the lads.

Here we go...

Hodgson: "It was a good point...in terms of shape and the way we played I have nothing but praise for my team."
30 Sep 21:11 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
what pisses me off the most is everyones reactions, weve been playing like this for over 12 months, why do people keep on getting suprised at the same sh*t...

no movement blah blah blah....no width blah blah blah... torres dosent look fit blah blah blah... johnson cant defend blah blah blah.

Bar a few players lets not pretend like we dont have an everage squad... its just embarasing, and this squad has been a few years in the making, not just since the hodge came.

As bad as poulsen was today, lucas was five times worse.

I believe we will start playing better though, just give it time...
30 Sep 22:11 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Yeeee, but at least under Rafa you got the sense he knew where he was trying to take us. At least you knew that we could beat good teams and play well. I have yet to see us play well for more than about 15 minutes this season, being generous. Rafa won La Liga with Valencia. What has Roy ever done?

4-4-2 does not work. Torres is 100 times better up front on his own (should've scored though, tbf). Why play Meireles on the right when Lucas and Poulsen are awful together? We aren't playing in the Bernabeu here, we don't need two defensive midfielders who offer nothing going forward when we really should be attacking them.

A few years in the making? Yip, I was fking devastated when Rafa got rid of Biscan and brought in Momo. Can't believe we swapped Owen- who really wanted to stay- for that useless git we have playing up front atm. And don't even get me started on our keeper, he costs us points every week...

Maybe it'd have been nice to have Insua or Aquilani out there, but hey, I'd rather have Aurelio sitting on the sidelines anyway... Yip, in Roy we trust.

In terms of shape? Oh dear...

Capped internet, so haven't posted, but Kop, that is brill. And the movie is funny too. And Tyler, its algee, he's just a special case.. I'm not actually gay!
30 Sep 23:21 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Come on lads cheer up! We are still top of the table and a trip to Holland is not the easiest we will face. Torres definitely should have scored but on the whole the game was pretty boring.

Lucas plus Poulsen= no freaking way. Both average and play exactly the same way. Meireles showed some nice touches so I actually feel more positive than previously
