Marveaux denying it now. Hedged your bets Tyler!

Didn't realise he was on a free, he sounds injury prone though so maybe free is a better way of getting him. Still think there are better 'pay for' options out there.

ahh, can't wait for the second leg against Braga! Hopefully be a good atmosphere, Carroll getting a start and we get through! Hmm, yeah, not really keen for an injury prone player, tbh.

Oooh, controversial! Aha, I used to think this quite often under Roy, but he's been really really effective in the last few games- not trying to do everything himself. Playing much more for the team under the King.

I agree that he is still, was just thinking that meireles is filling in that attacking mid position more than adequately and we don't seem to rely on him as much as before.

In more good news boys

Nani and Michael Carrick will be named in Manchester United's squad for the visit of Marseille on Tuesday........what a twat out for a month my butt

It did sound like Chelsea and Manure were after him although you do have to wonder with our record of purchasing injured players, Cole and Aquaman (hopefully not Carroll). Still I will wait and see

Carroll and Kuyt will rock Anfield. Meireles the supporting act!

Just read about the game. Damn scum. 300 Manc fans in the stadium sang about Hillsborough and Hysel throughout the match. Snuck a flare into the ground and lit it. 6 of them kicked out of the ground and another 6 odd arrested (all during the game). Day at the office for our clubs supporters...

Read this in one of the UK papers. It is a disgrace but there are low life supporters in every club. Utd are taking their own action. There is no room for this sort of behaviour.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Actually , yes I do.But that is probably true ( potentially) when a top player is injured at any club.Others have 2 options- a)grow a set  , man up and fill the void  , or B) go missing in action.
In Liverpool's case , others have has to step up; namely Merieles ( no surprise) and Lucas ( very much a surprise). It's been well documented that Gerro isn't a particularly defensive CM so the combo of a deeper lying Lucas with a more attack minded Merieles seems to be generally working.Still would rather have Gerro than not but NO one player is irreplaceable.

As for the scum's behaviour at the FA youth cup , just repugnant. But Cheers to Leggy ( I've had a go at him here before) for the response. He's right ;every club has its sh*t element and Man U does seem to be taking action   of its own.

Agreed- we've got all our Munich songs that get sung too.

What i did notice was that after Hillsborough the Munich chants vanished. In the years before it was used at every game v Man Utd i attended.
Maybe in recent  years it has reappeared?
Chants of the brainless both of them.

Like any group or club there is always a minority that take things too far. To be fair to the Manc supporters at the youth game it appears it was just a select few that went purely to cause trouble. These idiots aren't true fans, just mindless muppets. Good to here United are taking a stand against these people and I'd expect LFC to do the same to anybody who utters a Munich chant.

fk, is Agger only 26  thought he was a couple of years older than that. He's our best defender by a mile- gutted he has picked up so many injuries throughout the years.

Without Agger our defence looks particularly rugged....He is injured so often though....if only he was as tough as Nani

Reports emanating from the Uk ( The Independent) suggest that traitorres is struggling to adapt to life in London.
My Spanish isn't very good but I'll have a go at translating.

" Oh , my life is so hard at the moment.I miss my rafa-bear ; I could always count on a cuddle from him when things were hard. Here , in the big smoke , I feel so used.Roman Sonofabitch bought me like some expensive toy ; he gave me to his son who doesn't want to play with me.I had 45000 people at that other stadium who thought the sun shone out of my bottom. Here , all I can see is the sunglasses  ; all I can hear is the munching on those funny little fish sandwiches.Dider pretends to be my best friend ; I found a torres doll with a knife sticking out of it in his bag yesterday.I can'y find anywhere to live- so hard finding million pound apartments here in Londonville. Thank God for JT- he treis so hard to make me and my wife feel at home. He keeps on inviting her to his house for afternoon tea ( the lads say he means afternoon delight ; I don't know what they mean ). "

Liverpool were poor to watch pre-Carroll. Not sure he has made things any more entertaining!

Well done Braga. Did everything you had to do and deserved the win over two legs.

At least we were attempting to move the ball around before, our technically inept players limit our ability to do so successfully of course, but there was intent. Now the game plan is play the ball to Carroll from behind half and hope he comes up with the most amazing powerheader of all time.

Bugger and goddamn buggery bollocks

I did wonder if acquiring a big banger would lead to this long ball sh*te...would love to have seen Suarez here.May have made the difference to a season in Europe.
Just hope JH doesn't put too much weight on this result if this was one of the so called 3 games that the King has to prove his worthiness for a contract.
