Wow now that's interesting... so rather than have the coaches go on courses in germany, they just need more coaches full stop!

The difference in those numbers is quite phenomenal.

So what do all these qualified german coaches even do? There can't be enough jobs for them all!

Everton 2-0. Another dire defeat. There appear to be so many problems in the squad. I'm actively looking for any positive signs that moyes knows a way forward but I honestly dont see any.

I think they will now have to look for another manager.

Panic move if they do sack him. Fergusson shows what a right cnut he is. He knew last season that he had an aging non performing squad and retired, leaving Moyes to cop the flack for it.

Smart move by Fergusson who can walk on water in most Man U fans eyes. But suck move for Moyes. He was on a loser from day 1. Still a 6 year contract, that's 5 years to pay out on. Must be a nice financial bonus.

What I want to know is how every paper in the country knows for sure he's going to be sacked?

Fergusson himself was one loss from losing the job after 3 seasons, then look what happened. The owners need to wake up and see a longer, bigger picture.

What gets me is the total lack of backing from his players. None turned up for him.

I don't think he will be getting the sack. Ferguson timed it well leaving the next manager with an ageing squad. It needs a clear out and a massive investment in the summer transfer market. Then, if he recruitment is shit, gas him

He's lost the dressing room. Dead man walking. Probably go in next few days. Giggs until end of season. Klopp.

Plus thus: the panicked and naive actions in the market when he started were not a good look. Signing mata was lucky because he was desperate for game time to make Spanish World Cup squad. Now though, moyes hasn't shown that he has the mana to attract the right players and the glazers don't trust him to spend the dough.

I know they all do it but his mistake was to get rid of all the coaches. Even so he really found it hard to come from a average team to managing a team full of internationals who thought they were better than they are, with big egos. I believe this is where he lost it.

Whatever happened to that youth set up that kept on producing high quality players? It was the envy of most other teams except perhaps the Arse, Spuds & Liverpool.

Nah, I don't buy this.

Man U won the league by 10 points last year and at one stage looked like braking the PL record for points in a season. The squad does need rejuvenation but that just isn't a 7th placed squad. I'm all with sticking with the manager and all that but 7th just doesn't give you enough to go on. In Fergusson's day there was no Champs league and Man U weren't very good before he took over. Moyes has been a disaster so far. If you know he isn't up to it then there is no point waiting a few more seasons to confirm it.

Yeah, the squad is not THIS bad. At this stage last season Utd had 84 points compared to 57 now.
In regards to potential managers, I do like Klopp as he is such a character just his style of play would not suite a lot of Utd's current squad. A dark horse would be Pochettino (and even darker Thomas Tuchel/Markus Weinzierl)

He did set in motion the stylistic change at Bayern which has resulted in great success over the past few years.

Im hearing Giggs till the end of the season then possibly the Klopp move. If he does sign on should Moyes be pushed, scousers will have a field day. Game at Anfield and Klopp get klopped by the crap from the Kop!

Always been a big fan of moyes. Sad to see him go. Combine having several key players letting the club down with a few injuries and it was always going to be a struggle for him to see out the year. All the best to him. I hope the glaziers have more sense than chelsea or city and let the next man have time...

He never had the dressing room. They players never liked him from the get go. I find that appalling, particularly the likes of Ferdinand, twitting away in the background.

Interesting comments from Roy Keane, basically saying a number of players need to be ashamed and take a good hard look at themselves.

I think everyone knows certain key players underperformed. Egos must have taken a bruising. As for that illiterate yet very rich Ferdinand, he can stay the fuck away from QPR. Rumours I hear is that dickhead might be heading our way. Hopefully Redknapp will be gone before that happens.

Ok yes I got it wrong. I didn't think they would gas him considering he has another FIVE (5) years to be paid out. You've gotta suck really badly to eat that contract.

Redknapp noted in his book that the environment at QPR was toxic and that his best player was an aging and hobbled Ryan Nelsen who wanted out sooner rather than later. I guess it kinda says a lot for the egos of some of those players. As the commentary for this episode goes, some players should be ashamed of themselves but then the club have just backed those players and realistically, how much longer will they be at the club? Ferdinand wont have that long... Basically is says that the next man in will have to watch his back as well because if the players don't like you, you will be gone. I think when you consider the length of Moyes contract and the age of the players at Man U and the length of time they have left at the club, this is a big call. They have 3 weeks left until summer where a clear out was on the cards so I still don't get this move at this time.

This has been coming for a while and should not be a surprise to anyone.
JV, I would have thought that getting rid of him now ( knowing that they were going to do it in 3 weeks) was actually a positive move.
Why prolong the agony, and at least it says to the supporters and potential incoming players that we are not going to tolerate this situation.
At the time I was OK with Moyes, but the reality is  he just was not up to the challenge.

Time will tell but moving him now would be a lot better that floundering along for the next 4 games.Who knows they might flatten the opposition in the final games. That would certainly be interesting. Even if that was the case, Giggs would have no chance of taking over on a permanent basis.

Anyone know how much moyes got paid out? just wondering really.....it must have some flow on effect of the transfer budget surely

go gunners

I think there was a clause in his contract to the effect that if he got his pink skip inside the first year he would only get a one year payout, ie he is NOT getting 5 years worth.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

4.5 million pound

that's compensation, sacking clause was failure to qualify for Champions League.

so certainly not 5 years worth.
