Arsenal in for Evans. Hope it does not cost us too much.

Is that like when we were in for Smalling?

Just goes to show that possession means nothing. Once again we dominated the game but could not put it away. Missing a penalty did not help. Looking at the players it is so obvious that to compete with teams like Chelsea you have to have top players. Rooney playing his best might make the starting team at Stamford Bridge and perhaps De Gia, but apart from those two, no other player would make it. If LVG is serious about challenging for the title then he will have to get rid of at least five of the team that played today plus a few more that were on the bench. Rooney and RVP were the only players that looked like it today.

A win against Palace away next week and anything less than a Liverpool win (at Stamford bridge) will secure 4th. BUT if we don't get max points next week we then face the arse at home and Liverpool face palace away. If it comes down to the final weekend (shudder) we will be playing hull away who will be probably playing to stay up and Liverpool play stoke away.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

I could bitch about our team for forever but just briefly, the refs are not doing us any favours. How was no one from West brom booked today?? Outrageous.

I haven't been happy with recent results wither but I see no need to overreact. The goal wasn't to compete for the title this season.

He has a great goal scoring record for a young winger. It seems like he can bring something we really need. I'm not so much worried about bringing in another centre forward. I think we still need more cover in midfield for next season.

Adnan out now? Surely

Young/Depay/Di Maria/Januzaj/Mata fighting for wing positions isn't that outrageous really considering Young is 29, Di Maria can play as a CM, and Januzaj and Mata can play CAM.

I don't think so. I just think that's the level of depth we want.

Young, Mata and Januzaj would be the ones I would have on the bench.

We need to put Januzaj out on loan. No point selling a young talent like that.

Somewhere that isn't the Championship. Loan him to PSV for a while.

yeah it would be a bummer if he scored a goal against  you the season after next

Yeah if he goes it'll definitely be a loan. What about Falcao?

Fuck this stupid game

Nothing has changed much this week. A bit lucky at times today. De Gea was outstanding and he is the reason we got all the points. Our defenders are once again the weakest part of the team and until LVG gets this right then we have no chance of competing with the likes of Chelsea. Evans and Smalling are just too awful to watch at the moment. Surely can't be two  worse defenders in the league.

Hopefully Chelsea will stick it to Liverpool tonight and we will be be in the CL

I'm sure sunderland would swap you Evans and Smalling for Brown and O'Shea.

You could be right, but there might not be much in it apart from age. I never rated Brown, but was sorry to see O'Shea go.

I disagree. I thought Smalling was good. As is Jones.

I know Fellaini scored the winner but he was an absolute ghost until then. I feel like we are trying to play possession football with 10 men. Seeing as we are a man down in that department we then we we resort to just nobbing it into the box Fellaini decides to turn up.

LVG must have thought he was not that good as he subbed him.

Must be the best kept secret at Utd then, as there is no mention of it in any news I have read.

Depay is a good start and is good to see that LVG wont be beaten to his targets.

Need to sign two CMs now, as we only have 4 natural DM / CMs in the squad. No more of this Rooney/Mata playing there. Yes Di Maria could play there, but not in his current form.

Then we only need to buy if we sell first.
No need to get a CB as we already have Smalling Jones Evans Rojo plus McNair and Blackett - Evans could be sold
No need to get a RB as we already have Valencia Rafael plus McNair and Jones can play there - Rafael could leave
No need for wingers
No need for forwards unless we don't keep Falcao. RVP could also leave as he does not match his wages anymore.

oh and keep De Gea. thats a must. give him anything he wants

It's possible. and it's why it's infuriating to watch United fans on the internet run around making videos like we're already there.

We could do with a more natural RB if Van Gaal isn't confident in Rafael, and while I don't think our CBs are as terrible as Leggy does, we will probably upgrade there and get Hummels or someone similar in terms of ability and experience.

We definitely need a forward; Falcao and RvP are both not up to the standard we need anymore to compete for the title, and Wilson is far too inexperienced. I would not be surprised if they both left and we bought a couple of new strikers in, Cavani could be likely. Will be interesting to see what happens to Chicharito.

You know we belong together...

Performance of Utd, Arsenal, City and the steep rise and equally steep decline of LFC doesn't bode well or anyone challenging Chelski next season. What say you United fans?
