The LVG sycophants have gone quiet everywhere. The sooner this dinosaur is gone the better.

Manchester United
And who are you suggesting as the replacement?
Mou, Giggs, Rafa, Rudi Garcia, Brendan, Tactics Tim?
Can't tell me that LVG is worse than that lot.

As I have mentioned many times---regardless of who were to take over the players in this squad are not good enough to challenge for the title.
I doubt Pep / Mourinho or anyone else would succeed with these players. There were only five players on the field that LVG brought in and only four finished the game. I'm not backing him for one second, but the reality is we are not good enough.

Surely you are capable of coming up with a few more quality options than those?? Did you conveniently forget the other quality coaches out there just to be difficult?
He's spent 350 mil since he came in. Any personnel issues are entirely of his own making.
Ancellotti and Guardiola are much better, readily available managers.
And please turn down Mourinho, particularly after the "love letter"... just too funny.

There is so much wrong with this.
He has spent all that money because so many have left and you have a squad to fill. Vidic, Evra, Ferdinand, Rafael, Evans, Anderson, Giggs, Hernandez, Nani, Welbeck, Van Persie, Cleverly, Kagawa, Fletcher have all left since the 2013/14 season.
You cannot say any of the players he has signed have been bad. And if any more players left it would be a whole new club. Some continuity is needed.
Ancellotti is TAKING OVER AT BAYERN when Guardiola leaves at the end of the season. So he is not available and Gaurdiola is not available until the end of the season. Even still, I am not sure he is the right man for the job.
Stick with Van Gaal, get rid of some of the older players and blood some more youth. His playing style will bring the benefits in the long term and by the time he retires there will be a solid platform for the future.
Don't do what Liverpool has done and tried to skip a transition period and are now paying the price.
The key is patience and for the club to show promise and intent.

Quite right, Remember Fergusson was only one defeat away from losing his job all those years ago. I think there's too many of Fergies boys still in the setup behind the scenes - such as Giggs. Felani is a waste of space and I think Rooney should be moved along too.

ancelloti to Bayern. pep to Manchester city.
so...Pellegrini to United?

lol
Not a bad assessment from ESPNFC;

2 hits, 4 misses, 7 verdict still out.

Cant see how Rojo is a miss, when he plays he has been decent and has been injured a lot. Probably should still be a verdict still out.
Falcao and Di Maria have been shown the door already. Falcao was a risk after his knee injury and Di Maria hated Manchester life - can't do much about his house being robbed etc. So the fact that they were a miss is not affecting the teams performance atm. Most managers would have bought these two if they were available.
Valdes doesn't really count as he was worth nothing and didn't want to play as second keeper. I suppose he would have been promised the starting spot if De Gea left and when that didnt happen it is difficult to stay. Most managers would also have bought him if they were losing their no1 keeper.
Anyway, I don't think you can say that United's woes have been attributed to the failings of his signings. You cant buy injury free players and if people become unhappy at a club, you can't do much about that either.
Don't get me wrong, the longer you keep him the happier I'll be.
But you guys claiming he hasn't been a flop in the transfer market is pretty funny.
The thing that I find amusing is that it is always other supporters that are on here telling us what is wrong. Guess they are shark scared that in the not too distant future we may get our act together and blitz all for a few years. After all, it is only 3 years since we won the EPL, which is a lot better than 95% of the other clubs.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
FYI, winning the EPL 3 years ago is only better than 89.47% of the other clubs.
The point being that it is better than all bar 2 clubs. Thanks for the correct %.
No need to panic. There is still promise and intent within the club.
I suggest you read what I said. Nowhere did I say anything about it should be restricted to Utd fans.
Maybe English is not your first language.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
Huh? No one said anything about here being restricted to United fans. Are you seeing things that aren't really there?
It was mentioned that some others like to point out what is wrong but sometimes other team's supporters make a mountain out of a mole hill.
I just think there is still the intent to become a force within European football again and we should stick by that. Some other teams have missed that boat a long time ago and are now settling for mediocrity.
Haha. Come on Paul. He probably meant it as a dig at Arsenal because he's a thick United Twit.
Three for me, and two for them.
The club are rebuilding and imo still have the ghost of Sir Alex everywhere and that is interferring with what any of the managers have been trying to do. They will come right, but not till that ghost and expectation is banished.

It is the same thing with Moyes really. It is all very well to say he doesn't have the players. Is anyone really going to sit there and tell me that the current United squad is not one of 4 best in England? Especially when you take out Chelsea, we should be top 4. No questions asked. Time to rebuild is fine - we can't win the league every season. However, like Arsenal we need to make sure we are permanently in Europe. If LVG can't get this squad, which is one of the 4 best in the competition, into the top 4 then what hope can we have in him ever winning the league?

Understand where you are coming from, but lets pick a combined Utd/Arsenal side. How many Utd players would you pick? For me, at best we would get maybe 3.

Finally a good performance to match a result.
Forward passing and running in behind - just what we have been missing and mean our passing game stretches the opposition to places they don't want to be.
Carrick was great, Mata had his best game in a while too.
When Schweinsteiger is fit then Fellaini can sit on the bench, even though he wasn't bad today.
Bring on Chelsea
The thing I learned from yesterdays game was.
1. I was away, so did not see it live.
2. Giggs was also not at the game.
Tells me that if I don't watch the game live and Giggs does not front, then we have a better chance of not only winniny, but playing well.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
Giggs could well be part of the problem. a constant reminder of SAF and his ways of doing things.

Heard at Sunderland... "Can you hear the United fans sing? Nooo, nooooo, can you hear the United fans sing? Nooo, nooooo. Can you hear the United fans? I don't hear a fudgeing thing, noooo, nooooooooo.

Interesting comparison from F365;
"When David Moyes was sacked in April 2014, he had taken 57 points from 34 league games in charge, a total of 1.68 per game. He guided the club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
This season, Louis Van Gaal has taken 41 points from 26 league games, a total of 1.58 per game. He exited the Champions League at the group stage, has had a year longer than Moyes in charge and spent almost £200m more on players."

The difference being there is a degree of direction and intent for Van Gaal to play a particular brand of football that will help in the long term and be beneficial for the club.
Moyes had no direction, played defensive and counter attacking football and went no where.
At least you can say that Van Gaal is attempting to lay foundations for another sustained period at the top.
And what a cracking brand of football it is too.
LOL. Comment might come back to haunt you in a couple of weeks time.

Doubt it. Even if you somehow beat us you're still well behind in the league and will finish behind us.
And you play wank football, no mistake.

Fergie used to beat us all the time with pretty unattractive football. Van gaal might well do that too.
Nothing to do with the fact that your team is unfortunately quite boring to watch at the minute.

Fergie's last season in charge (and title) was based on winning ugly. Nothing wrong with that of course unless you want to be entertained by the football you watch (and as an LFC fan I've had equal measures of extreme boredom and huge excitement this seasons)
"...sure beats doin' stuff."

I agree, but if you lose it may dent your title chances.
