Don't think I'll be doing the Monday morning 5am thing again. Had to go home for a sleep at lunch time!

So.... anyone know where I can watch the game this weekend? (the likes of pubs in wgtn that would be open)
I listened to a live broadcast of the L'pool game, and I plan to never do that again!
Backbencher or the lounge wouldnt be open at all??

I'm pretty sure that the Courtenay Arms would be open. I've checked a couple of North London derby's there.

wicked! will give that a go for sure. cant remember who we were playing, but last year while watching a match at the sports cafe, they closed at half time. I was horrified!

Yeah just give them a call mate. They are normally open until about 3am so show the earlier premiership games.

I've even fallen asleep there with my feet up on the couch before.

Just a word to all you Gunners; this week your team has been awesome; not just for the results but for the confidence and style of play. Wenger is a genious to have built a third side of this quality after the previous ones.

Fabregas is now a central figure in the way Veira was. Some of Toure and Gallas work at the back is assured beyond anyone else in the league, In midfield and attack the speed accuracy and creativity is mind boggling .. and Van Persie to come back!

My side Colchester United are still in there fighting in the Championship but it is a different game there!

Cheers Orpewise. Arsenal are a pleasure to watch right now.

It's great to be a gooner.

It certainly is great to be a gooner...

The good thing is, liverpool played really well against us. They had their best game for a number of weeks, had two very important players back from injury and hit us hard on the counter attack. Crouch played well when he came on, Carragher was a rock at the back, all in all they were very impressive. Yet in spite of all of that they couldn't beat us at Anfield! That's a huge achievement for us i reckon, and we damn nearly won the thing too. When liverpool played that well last year, Crouch got a hattie and they sunk us 4-1. Just goes to show how much things have changed this time round. I really think we will beat ManUre this weekend at the emirates. Can't wait for it. They were the best games last year.

P.S. what's all this "im not doing the monday 5am thing again" guff??? OF COURSE YOU WILL! You're Gooners and that is what we do for the boys! DEAL WITH IT! I know I will be. You gotta take advantage of every arsenal game that's on tv. Replays/recordings/highlights are not what real fans do.

I will watch a live Arsenal game no matter what time of day or night. I was 1 1/2 hours late for work yesterday, my boss thought something serious had happened. I just said "1 all draw mate" and he goes "ahhh". he is very understanding for a norwich city supporter. Working in the pub helps for champions league games as well. I come in early and take a 2 hour morning tea break. I have only missed 1 live game this year, and hoped to catch the replay in the afternoon, but about 4 different people told me the score before i could tell them not to mention it. gutted.

It was a moment of madness when I said I wouldn't get up at 5am on Monday again (or rather a moment of utter, drained, lethargy).

Of course I will.

Cant wait to see what the carling cup teams going to be?? we have some many choices at the moment its crazy, is wenger going to deneilson n diarra in the middle or give silva a run??? we also have diaby and song who usually play mid. Not a big fan of song but wenger likes him and i trust wenger.

I'll be the first to guess:

----------------Fabianski-----------------
Hoyte---Senderos----Toure----Traore
Walcott---Diarra---Denilson---Diaby
--------Eduardo-------Bendtner--------

(assuming Senderos' 2 weeks on the sideline are up).

I thing Toure may be rested and Gilberto will start. Also Lehman might get the nod ahead of Fabianski. I dont think Wenger would rest his No.2 goalie, considering his tantrums of late. I would like to see fabianski started though. I think your midfield is pretty spot on and same with the attack.

I thought Lehmann might consider himself above playing in the reserve side and would therefore be "humiliated" by this.

You might be right on the Gilberto call though.

yeah its important that gilberto starts as i think he will start against man u. If lehman doesnt start then its 100% that he wil go in jan which i think should happen the way he's been going on, on one person is ever bigger then the team. gallas will play instead of toure as he needs game time i think.

Not sure about Gallas aye. I love his play but he seems awfully fragile, and i dont think wenger would risk him against the ankle smashers from sheffield.

West Ham fans set a new record price of 57,000 ($NZ152,755) for a football-related vehicle licence plate on Friday as they outbid each other for plate number WE57 HAM.

Haha, that is crazy!

For the game vs Sheffield I think Arsene will go with something like this...

--------------------Fabianski

Hoyte------Song-----Gilberto-----Traore

Walcott----Denilson---Diarra----Diaby

-------------Eduardo----Bendtner

As others have said, I think Gilberto will get the nod, to get his legs warm for the Man U game as perhaps he will get a run.
Maybe Eboue over Walcott, allowing him to go foward or rested/benched
And I also think Eduardo should play in this game. A run will be great for him and I think there is a possibilty of him playing along side Ade on the weekend or coming on as a sub.
Like some people, I think Fabianski will get the nod over the mad german -  I do not see him sticking around for much longer either to be honest.

"Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to give youth a chance once again in Wednesday night's Carling Cup fourth round clash at Sheffield United.Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott are pressing for a place in the starting XI after coming off the bench at Liverpool, while Brazilian teenager Denilson is also in contention for a midfield slot.

Pole Lukasz Fabianski is expected to be in goal, with young Italian Vito Mannone again on the bench.

Arsenal (from): Fabianski, J Hoyte, Toure, Song, Traore, Eboue, Denilson, Diarra, Diaby, Walcott, Bendtner, Mannone, Eduardo, Lansbury, G Hoyte, Merida."

Looks like i got a few calls wrong. It will be good to see Fran Merida in action.

Who's playing left back tonight. Going by the team selection, it almost looks like he is playing a 3-4-3 formation. Hoyte, Song and Gilberto in back 3 or is Kieron Gibbs playing on the left side?? I wonder whats happened to Traore.
