Not really a fan of Eboue down the right. Has had a couple of good opportunities in front of goal fall to him and hasn't been able to put them away as would be expected from a normal right mid. Get in someone who is used to the position, can put in some good crosses and can take an opportunity when it comes to him, like Diaby, what did he do wrong to suddenly find himself sitting on the bench?

I dunno I see diaby more as central mdfielder, he suprised me on the left tho.

Holy f*ck that game was off the hook. Fab can't stop scoring, great to see gallas with the equaliser - for someone who hasn't been at arsenal too long he certainly shows a great deal of heart. Despite rooneys goal coming off his hand, i thought he had an excellent game, as did toure. We held possession well against a team of quality. Does anyone else absolutely hate anderson after watching that???

Even though gallas got MOTM, Hleb was the best for me. I love him playing in front of fabregas and behind ade. He has great control, decent pace, excellent passing, the list goes on. Dare I say it, but all he needs to do is have a pop more often, bang a few in and he's right up there with fabregas for me.

All in all, an excellent game, my heart was in overdrive by the end of it. Took a piss 5 times during the game, and smoked 10 cigarettes - it was so damn intense i just about passed out...

yep, i couldnt get to sleep for about an hour after the game. i had the "arsenal FC" chant going through my head repeatedly.
I thought the result was fair, but i think we were a little inhibited looking or the first goal, once they had scored we opened up and started to play our game.
And i couldnt agree more about Anderson being public enemy no.1 . What a cheating c**t.

Agree wholeheartedly about Anderson. It was definitely a calmer game than it has been in the past but Anderson was being a complete Pr**k.

It will be interesting to see how the youngsters fair against Blackburn at home.

Hah, i did!! Drinking.....

Still, ended up watching the 12.30 replay and it was still heart in mouth stuff. Just how good is Cesc?!?! Thought a draw was pretty fair in the end but i have to give probably the most credit to the lino on that far side who was level headed enough to spot the Gallas shot crossing the line and award it. Not often refs or linos get praised but he deserved it under all that pressure. Fergie's just bitter suggesting that the ref favoured us, what bollocks!!

AND ITS ARSENAL
ARSENAL FC, WERE BY FAR THE GREATEST TEAM
THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN

Three for me, and two for them.

Great game, when half time came around I was like shesh that went fast...

Should of won but ohh well still top of the table

Agreed about Anderson - what a chump.

I have to agree, Anderson is quite the showpony. Not a clue what he was thinking with his attempts to goad the ref into the yellow card - ( I guess I do ) but absolutely appalling.

On the game, well all this talk about a fair result, I suppose it was . . . but I certainly thought we were the better side. In terms of attack, Utd. were only profitable on the counter, whereas our bouys showed the same patience and determination which we saw against Liverpool. The deserved late goal, I'm glad it came from Gallas after his first half efforts especially after that free-kick which saw Van der Sar's reaction save.

All in all, another great game and some great determination from the boys to get the result.

great game well 2nd half anyway, Man u were average we should have really won i think. We didnt play our normal game in the 1st half. Helb was awesome it was great to see him run the ball up right after kick off dont think i have seen that before LOL. What a cool finish by Cesc and Gallas under pressure. Almunia was a bit wild thur the game and the 2nd goal he was in no mans land. I think we really missed RVP in this game, i was a bit suprised that eboue wasnt taken off earlier, i think he's a awesome wingback but mid is out of his range a bit, maybe try diaby or diarra there??? Sagna has a few hicups but that was to be expected in his 1st man u game, he did heaps of good overlapping runs. It was wierd to see arsenal vs man u with nasty tackles flying in all over the place LOL. Also notice that we dont have a free kick specialist apart from robin. apparently clichy can hit them too??

Yes upfront atm things aren't quite right. Too often we push up along the wings and there is hardly anyone in the box for a cross. Compare that to Man U who were brutal on the counter-attack, getting numbers forward in the middle for the inevitable cross.

I think Toure or Gallas were man of the match for me.

We didn't play that well but we still got a point after going behind twice. Great stuff.

Yeah Toure and Gallas were awesome, Did you hear Gallas interveiw when he got the man the match award, basically he was just talking bout how they teams a tight unit  and just about everything he said was regarding the team even the bubbles he won was going to the team LOL he has changed heaps i like it

I think the next couple of games are going to be crucial to maybe give Eduardo or Walcott a start, to try and find that spark missing since RVP's injury. After saturday's game i think the confidence is sky high, and we can change the team around a little for the champions league group match against Slavia Praha, and next weekend against Reading.

I wont mind seeing a diarra and deneilson combo in mid for champions league with eduardo n bentder up front and diaby on the right

One other thing I forgot to mention: during the game it seemed to me Eboue was deliberately not passing it to Sagna outside of him and instead kept opting to go inside (either pass or run). It seemed bizarre as normally the two link up so well together on the wing, so I can't understand why Eboue didn't pass it to him. This happened time and time again. I wonder whether he was under instruction?

I think the problem was Man U were ready for this as it is usuallt one of our more common attacking options. Sagna was a marked man, everytime he overlapped Eboue, this usually ment Hleb, Flamini or Fabregas had some space inside, so that was always the easier option.

Also its good to see some new faces in this thread. This season is bringing more gunners fans out of the woodwork.

i would personally pefer to see eboue go back to right back and helb right mid once RVP comes back, helb and eboue combined really well last year and i'm sure helb n sagna will be the same. Is it just me or doesnt rosicky not shoot that much anymore??? might have something to do with his injury, he's got a hell of a shot on him.

Easily Sagna over Eboue. Our back four right now are excellent.

Rosicky is out of form atm.

According to Wenger, after we win against Sparta, he will rotate in other players for champions league games, so hopefully Diaby & Diarra van get some starts, and we might see some more of Bendtner

I want to see more of Diarra.

And agree with Rosicky not shooting as much, he looks a little short of confidence at the mo.

Our back 4 is amazing.

very true, at least he admited it. but, on the other hand it could have been a gamble. vidic and rio would have loved to rough up any of those three.

We are coming up to a interesting period in the season. Arsenal have some hard games coming up with a while out on the road. Van Persie should be back for Wigan at emirates 24th novemebr which would be nice, to help us with this...

1st Dec- Aston Villa (Away)

5th Dec-Newcastle (Away)

9th Dec- Boro (Away)

16th Dec- Chelsea (Home)

(Carling Cup QF)

22nd Dec - Spurs (Home)

26th Dec- Portsmouth (Away)

29th Dec- Everton (Away)

1st Jan 2008- West Ham (Home)

In all of december, all we have at home is Chelsea and Sp*ds. This will be one of the bigger test for the team in my opinion. If we come out of the above games dropping only 4pts then we are in business!

These 3 will be pretty tough games,
5th Dec-Newcastle (Away)
26th Dec- Portsmouth (Away)
29th Dec- Everton (Away)
we really need ade to starting scoring as well as educardo n walcott. Can't wait for RVP to be back but it will take him a few games to get back to match fitness. Is it just me or he always gets injured when he's on fire, if he can stay injury free for a year he can be top scorer

Not just you... Its true, he always looks like he could do it and then BAM he gets done over. And it is always with a rough injury. Ah well, I look foward to seeing more of the other boys (theo, nick, eddy) in action.

If theo nick n eddy can score in the epl games i reckon goals could start flowing then, we aint doin too bad considering these boys aint scored in epl yet, oh yeah if rosicky can bang a couple in we were well on our way. Do you reckon wenger will buy anyone in jan???
