Hleb makes it 3 and then gets subbed. Its a stroll in the park. Hleb replaced by Diarra and the travelling Gooners break into the chant of "Diarra, oooohh, Diarra, oooohhh. He left the Chelsea scum, coz Ashley wants his bum"

Hleb with the third. He absolutely sh*ts on the goalie.

I'm just grabbing the links off of Arsenalist.

thanks for the clips! look like good goals, cant wait to see more highlights. could have been a win by more from what i have read, and would have been nice to have a goal cushion on manchester - but hey, we are top of the league!

going in international break at the top of the league sounds great to me. Anyone heard of Croatian playmaker Luka Modric???? we are meant to be keen on him

He sounds pretty good, particularly on the left.

Well he hasn't been up to much recently. But when he's on form, he's great. I'd keep him - have you heard a rumour about him leaving in Jan?

yeah apparently inter will offer 10mil for him in jan as a replacement for figo, does sorta sound true cos they want rosicky before in exchange for adriano. as much as i like him 10mil doesnt sound bad for him considering the amount of injuries he gets

I really hope arsenal do not sell Rosicky, he is my favourite player!! I think he'd do better in the centre alongside fab (might be a bit to attacking for some)...Luka Modric is a good player, I'd be happy if arsenal bought him but not as a replacement for Rosicky!

I do like Rosicky but 10m does sound pretty good, especially if we could get someone like Modric that plays left-playmaker.

Probably more chance of Mad Jens leaving in January than Rosicky. Totally off subject but being the old traditionalist that I am, it was great to see the team wearing red socks today.

i think cesc might be out for the next as he picked up his 4th yellow i'm not a 1005 sure on this, could be a good ploy so he doesnt miss cheslea game.

Reports from those watching the game suggested he may have done it deliberately, to sit out against Wigan at home and avoid missing out on the bigger clashes.

Cesc - you little legend.

Was fortunate enough to be able to watch the game this morning.

First 40 mins were tedious, with Reading playing half-court football, but that pretty much changed once Flamini scored out first. Adebayor's goal was class and he should of had a second had it not been for some very poor officiating from the lino on the side nearest to the TV broadcast.

Still, a wins a win and it was very much a polished away performance which sees us return to the top of the league.

Three for me, and two for them.

Anybody want to guess which player(s) will come back from internatioanl duty injured? My money is on Rosicky and/or Gallas
Permalink Permalink

Rosicky's always a safe bet.

I really hope Gallas stays fit though. Our defence is pretty sound atm.

Playing Ade alone upfront is an odd decision too.

We always play him alone up front away from home with Hleb sitting in behind. Works a treat, as it did yesterday.

Wenger admitted he made a mistake playing Ade upfront against Man U. I would prefer 2 strikers when we play lower ranked teams, whether it's home or away.

I agree with having two up front. Sure, 4-4-1-1 does still work - and Hleb is having the time of his life up there, but two up front is (obviously) so much more potent. 3-1 vs reading could be 4 even 5 - 1.  Maybe vs lesser teams when people need resting we could employ the lone striker, as we will still have a hot chance of nailing them but vs 'pool, and the mancs i think two strikers would have been the difference NZgooner2007-11-15 13:30:08

I think he hasn't been playing two strikers purely because RVP's been injured.

He admitted he should have played 2 up front against Man Utd so you'd think he would play another striker against lower teams. Problem is Eduardo isn't really firing yet and he will be reluctant to start Bendtner. So who does he play?

When RVP is back I assume he will start up front with Ade, and they will be devastating!

Couldn't agree with you more, We really need RVP back as he is a match winner with  x factor for us as he show in the pre season comps. He has the skill level to be the best stiker in the comp if he stays fit. on a low note i really hope we start seeing the best of DUDU soon

that would be nice, with denilson? Flamini is on 3 yellow cards also, so it could make sense to leave him out of this match to avoid others because I enjoy the flam/cesc partnership.

would like big al, sagna, toure, gallas, clichy, diarra, denilson, rosicky, hleb, walcott, ade

we can afford to play 4-4-2 and earn a nice 3-0 win. Doubt they will even try to attack us, will perk up infront of goal and play some hideous 'anti-football' perhaps.

on a lighter note, check this out - worth a laugh

flamini picked up a knock in training, and diaby got an injury, so i reckon gilberto and rosicky in the centre, with hleb and eboue on the wings, and rvp and Ade up front

Yeah i think with Fab out we need an attacking midfielder in the middle. I'd like to see Rosicky play there
