Good to see QPR get an away win.  Watched that You Tube clip LGM posted of the stuffing QPR gave us on New Year's Day 1992 - we were rubbish that day.  Love to see QPR take their place in the Premiership - straight swap with Arsenal would be great.

I don't really know nif it is a rightful place in the Premiership, but it would be nice to get there. Apart from the "Big Five" the premiership seems to be made up of also rans whom have no real chance on winning anything.

Speaking of QPR V Man United. One of the best games I have seen was between the two at Loftus Road and it ended 2-2. Pearson, Hill Coppell, Greenhoff, Buchan, McIlroy were on display.

That Docherty team was one of the best.  Never won much (77 FA Cup) but played football with style and passion.  Followed by Dave Sexton

Blackburn???? Wash your mouth out Hard News!

There is a clear top 4 - You know who, You know who, You know who, and You know who.  The only time in the last 4 years that any other team has finished in the top 4 is Everton, who finished 4th a couple or so years back.  Otherwise, Tottenham (2) and Newcastle (once) have made up the top 5.   It is a top 4.

And I must go down  to the points bank and take out that 3 points that I put in there earlier this morning mistakingly believing that we only had to turn up. Bloody QPR!

I know, I know, its serious!

Sorry guys but I have to stop semi supporting you until after the game between QPR and Colchester United. I need my team to win this! Go Teddy Sheringham. After we have taken three points off you I will hope we can both escape and send Sc**thorpe and Blackpool down instead!

So long as we're out of the relegation area, I'd like points from anyone! Your team was a favourite to go down considering who you lost but you've done well and recovered unlike our lot.

just read this on qprdot.org

Just heard that we will be the richest club in the UK as a new shareholder is about to be announced! And I do mean bigger than Chelsea! Could be a nice few presents at the bottom of the xmas tree come January If this comes true I suggest we all wave 20 notes at the scum at Stamford Bridge

The 5th richest man in the world - Laskshmi Mittal - was in the directors box on Saturday.
He's worth 50 billion, apparently.

well i don't know if these are true but any publicity for little old qpr is good

Just read this it's all over the news in England little old qpr about to be a big boy, we can but hope
I know money doesn't buy you titles but it buys you the players who can get the titles

The family of Lakshmi Mittal, the fifth richest man in the world, has bought up a 20 per cent stake in Queen's Park RangersMittal's son-in-law Amit Bhatia will sit on the club's board and represent the Indian steel magnate, whose fortune is estimated to be worth around 50 billion. The family is excited about becoming involved with Queens Park Rangers Football Club," said Bhatia.

  • "As a family, we love sport and particularly enjoy English football, and alongside Bernie [Ecclestone] and Flavio [Briatore], we hope that we can improve the club's performance, with the ultimate ambition of a place in the Premier League."

QPR, who are currently bottom of the Championship after a dismal start to the season, were bought by Ecclestone and Briatore in November.

Briatore, a personal friend of Mittal, had promised manager Luigi De Canio transfer funds in January in a bid to stave off the threat of relegation.

    <!--MPU BLOCKED BY PAGE-->

Now the added investment should secure an even brighter future for De Canio and Rangers.

"This investment in QPR by the Mittal family is a great stepping stone towards the future development of the club and supports the ambition of the current shareholders to reach the Premier League in the near future," said a statement by the QPR board.

"The new capital being invested in QPR will help fund the programme that is needed to help us achieve this target."

Hmm. The money could improve things short term but I am not sure that real fans want clubs to be toys of the ultra rich. But hey good luck with this; the real fans of QPR who have stuck with the team through tough times deserve some good news.

I remember how we all stuck with ColU even when we went down to the Conference and failed to get back first time. People said we were finished but they were wrong! Good luck to R fans (after Sat though!!).

I have a very fond memory of Loftus Road when we played QPR when Rodney Marsh was playing. We lost 3-0 from memory. (This is a very long time ago!). I was behind one goal so had a very good view. I cant remember if it was a old Div 3 game or a cup game.

Hope we can both now climb away from the bottom.

It's a shame we had to let Buzsaky go - he's a class player but didn't really fit in football wise with the other players at the club.

Oh well, good to see him in form, but I hope he has too much on Christmas Day and forgets to bring his shooting boots on Boxing Day!! I'd like to think we'll win, but I'll go for a diplomatic 1-1 Draw....

Merry Christmas!!

So the lads YET AGAIN manage to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory. Well done Plymouth, good result for you.

Interesting comments on Soccerney.com........

Akos Buzsaky began the match against his parent club after his double lifted the west Londoners off the foot of the Coca-Cola Championship in last Saturday's 2-1 win over Colchester. The 25-year-old Hungarian midfielder will join Rangers in a 500,000 deal next month; the transfer is anticipated to be the first of many after the investment of Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal. Mittal's input combined with the wealth of Formula One moguls Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore means manager Luigi De Canio is expected to be given substantial funds............

500k is a bargain, he's a more than useful player.

Thanks Gunman, knew it'd be close!! Sounds as though we had most of the game, with Rangers pushing hard to win at the end - until we stole it.

Isn't Buzsaky out of contract next summer? That'll be the reason for the good price. 500K is still big money for us, and will work for us as a nice bit of business! Argyle website noted he got a very good reception by the Janners. I expect he enjoyed catching up with the other Hungarians internationals we have at the club - although a few of the tackles suggested not!!

Although I still think our current position is slightly beyond our realistic capability, this team continues to surpise me. The thing that has pleased me most, is that each of the last 6 (I think) seasons has seen us finish higher than the previous. In each of those seasons, the club has been profitable. Long may it continue, although going up this season would do us no good whatsoever!! The ground certainly isn't up to it - one of our stands was built after the Germans did renovations to Plymouth in the 40's....

I'm confident QPR will stay up..... and look what happened to that small West London club with the right backing.

Plymouth are doing well and are solid, they could easily make the play-offs. I listened to the first half of the game and you were all over us, so too was the referee. His pocket was like a toaster any time a QPR player went near a Plymouth player

Watford 2 - QPR 4

You'd have to be happy with that Lonegunmen?? Watford now lose top spot in the Championship and your boys climb further away from the relegation zone.

yep with are both happy and now let the spending begin
31 Dec 09:57 · edited 09 Sep 05:03
A great result indeed.  I read that one of the Watford players got yellow carded near halftime when he thought he heard the halftime whistle and picked the ball up.  I suppose his name was William Webb Ellis

Very clever and now the spending will begin isee we have an emergency loan for one day for the watford guy then he'll sign in Jan?????????? confusing
