Well Jaq it's true, the gulf between those two and the other existing clubs has been so vast it's not funny. Sure occassionally, Hearts, or Aberdeen or someone else make a brief appearance but who else gets to win the league title 9 years running??

I liked watching Scottish football in general when it was on ESPN and via videos loaned to me, but the crowds and the distance between these two and everyone else is horrendous to be brutally honest.

Wasn't arguing at all, LG.

In recent history, apart from a brief period when Dundee United and Aberdeen were doing well both at home and in Europe, it's always been a 2 horse race to see which of The Ugly Sisters would clean up.

That doesn't prove anything. If Auckland city were to win the NZFC 39 times would they be as good as Celtic?

Don't forget that Hearts finished second not long ago. But yes, what you're saying is basically true unfortunately.

Get rid of Rangers and Celtic and the rest of the teams would make for an interesting, exciting and more level competition. Move those other two to a standard more befitting such as the Championship. Lonegunmen2009-11-08 20:41:18

Negative: There's nobody worth talking about to replace him.

Treble is still on with Dundee winning the Alba Challenge Cup. 2-0 down at halftime. Forsyth got the winner with his Dad in the crowd who won it in 1990 with Dundee. Dundee's very own Fallon family!

Dundee Utd and Hibs going well this season. Be great to see them keep going and have a good run at the Old Firm. Hopefully Levein doesn't go manage Scotland! United fans apparently singing after the match "We're going to win the league!". Ah well, good fun while it lasts. Haha, just read that every time McGeady touched the ball the United fans were chanting Henry's name. Good work.

Of course, if it turns out that it wasn't actually a corner, there could be bans dished out for those cheats.

And Celtic 3-1 v St Mirren, solid.

Second time we've deserved to take something from Dundee this season and f**ked it up. Harkins was apparently far better behaved this time and actually got applauded off by Thistle fans when he got subbed.

Well done to Dundee, I think it's their's to lose now. Unfortunately.

I'd also mention that apparently the Partick fans were better behaved this time... Anyway, good that Harkins and the Partick fans made up. Apparently he had a really good second half.

But yea, a while to go, but Dundee really should go on to win the league this year.

Ah well, better luck for you guys against the Arabs in the Cup. Otherwise you guys might end up with a real Dundee complex!

MON THE KILLIE!

Robbie Keane's Celtic debut ended in disappointment as Kilmarnock recorded their first win at home against the Glasgow side in nine years.

On-loan Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire opened the scoring seven minutes into the second half after Mehdi Taouil played a neat cutback.

Jag! Big game this weekend. Obviously beat you 2-0 both games this season, but not easily by any means. Dundee not in the best of league form at the moment, and bloomin' Ross County putting pressure on us at the top! A win could put you guys back into the hunt. A loss will nearly say bye-bye charlie.

Meanwhile, Dundee's ambitions for the treble are looking even better now as we're facing Raith in the Scottish Cup quarters!

Looking forward to outplaying you and coming away with nothing, for the 3rd time this season

As you say, big game. If we take the 3 points we're still in with a sniff, if we get nothing then we can kiss the rest of the season bye-bye.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

We got a great defensive record, and Harkins and Griffiths are brilliant. Probably of better quality than half the guys in the SPL. But as I think I've mentioned before, Partick apparently play some good Football, and Dundee definately have their dodgy points. And Dundee will NEVER make it an easy road for their fans!!

Ah Jag. Another disappointing Dundee game for yea!! YUSS!!!

Well, our greatest ever captain 'Mr Dundee' Bobby Cox died the day before the match so it was almost fate that we would win from a goal by our current captain.

Sounds like it was similar to previous games - lucky you guys can't score against us!

So that's 5-0 this season!!!
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
You took your time!

As somebody on one of the Thistle sites said "we play the prettier football, we've dominated but haven't scored against you in three games". You grind out the wins and that's the stuff that wins leagues. Congrats on the win, and enjoy the SPL.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
