Well the team you support plays in the same league as the one i support, therefore i'm interested in who you might be signing.
I guess the answer is nobody then?
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Fairly arrogant to suggest he's above a trial given he isn't exactly playing for a renowned club. (playing in the Nigerian Premier League...)
Interesting that Napoli are our first opponents in the Emirates cup, it would be good to spank them!
Suarez is growing on me, but I still think that defensive midfield spot is a weak point, however Arsene knows.
Cesar would be a nice addition too.
Looks like all eggs are in the suarez basket at this stage. His suspension means dragging it out to the final day is not an issue, he can't play til after then anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what happens.
Sounds like Madrid will get Bale and aren't interested in Bitey.

I suspect something like that could be in breach of the transfer window rules. Only guessing here, I have no idea about the intricacies, but I'd venture to assume we'll have to have him signed and in our employment (i.e. getting paid) by Sept 1
Has anyone here used Arsenal's digital player? What is the quality like and do you have to use it at certain times to get the best picture quality?

I saw it was free so thinking it maybe a way to get to see Arsenal without having to purchase Colissieum package. Hopefully will get to see them 4-5 times on TVNZ and 4 times on Sommet (though pic quality there not the greatest) and rest on this. I don't want to sign up for the on-line package as they can't guarantee pic quality (and I know arsenal player won't be great but it is free) and I don't particulary like the move to on-line pay per view model as I don't think it will in the long run save you any money, just make it a nuisance to view various different sports/tv programmes etc
Yea you better research the arsenal channel carefully - I could be wrong but I don't think they actually show games at all unless they aren't televised in the UK - generally they have highlight packages only. But things change every season so I'm not sure if that was just one year or still applies.
Screening full games is not the primary function of the channel, that's for sure. It's mostly about interview content etc from my experience.
I don't think they do either; but there are review shows, the highlights show on TV1, EweToob, and of course St Pats (Silverstream) lol.
I'll probably see how the first month goes then if I need to jump on I will. Can't see any benefit in doing it early as the pricing certainly isn't going to go up.
So according to arsenal.com these are our possible opponents for the champions league qualifier;
Real Sociedad
Pacos de Ferreira
Salzburg/Fenerbahce (subject to CAS ruling)
PAOK Salonika/Metalist Kharkiv
PSV Eindhoven/Zulte Waregem

Nice nothing too extreme there, if we can avoid psv.fenebache and soiedad it would be nice

If the 2nd leg is at home, I will be going to this so taking a keen interest in who we will be playing.
Thank goodness the Nix are signing players! It beats the tumble weed we've had so far!
I read yesterday that Bernard might end up at Porto. This would mean that during the Emirates cup we'd had two players we wanted but missed out on Higuain and Bernard playing against us, and former team joker Eboue!
That Galatasary side is boasting some quality though, with Sneijder, Melo, Drogba, and Johan Elmander all on the books.
Yea keep reading all this 'arsenal miss out on bernard' nonsense. How? To me it sounded like a far riskier purchase than Suarez.
More than 20million pounds for a 20yo 5 foot 4 winger who's had one good season in Brazil, and never played in europe?
I'd rather keep our current wingers and spunk that cash elsewhere thanks

Fair call. It would be nice to have a summer and add a big name with 'all our cash to spend'. Either a striker or a compative midfielder. I'd still love to see De Rossi in an Arsenal shirt!
De Rossi mmmmm yes please, Roma have bought strootman so will sell but cant see it happening

Do you use illegal streaming for FA Cup/Carling Cup/non-televised Champs League group games? Because that's the only way you'll watch this stuff live - what Sky have announced includes a lot of previously non-televised stuff from our perspective. I'm stoked.
Shows what a little competition does - all of a sudden Sky are purchasing things they didn't give a sh*t about before, simply because someone else is rivalling them for football coverage.

Yeah, with Sky broadcasting the Arsenal Channel (along with Man City, Spurs and one other they're negotiating for) fans will get a lot of games Coliseum don't have the rights to. as well as EPL and in better quality than Coliseum's heavily criticized recently unveiled broadcast standard. Coliseum will be severely impacted in the rear area:
https://nz.sports.yahoo.com/football/news/article/-/18269952/sky-tv-to-show-delayed-epl-games/
"The rights deal encompasses games shown on Premier League Club channels for the four clubs, including Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup matches."

FYI this is what we get free on Arsenal Player online (and that Sky will apparently be showing delayed content from);
Arsenal Player
As a Digital member, you will have completely FREE and unlimited access to Arsenal Player, our online video service which gives you access to:
I have not signed up for Coliseum yet but I certainly will be. I'm on Tcom so get some free cap and a discount YAY
I've got Sky and Sommet Sports on Freeview UHF so definitely won't bother forking out an extra $150 for Coliseum when I'll will be able to see ALL of Arsenal, Man City's, Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd (and one other club to be announced by Sky) EPL games delayed on Sky, Sommet Sports or TV One, plus all European games, FA Cup and League Cup matches of four EPL clubs on Sky.
Sky seems worth sticking with to me now, considering I'll also be able to watch the Phoenix and the A-League plus All Whites and Champions League (including heaps of qualifiers this month on ESPN), international pre-season club friendlies (ESPN), Brazil world tour (ESPN) etc.
I get Sky Sport half-price through Vodafone with my phone and internet.
I prefer watching the Phoenix to EPL etc. anyway since I consider it more "my team" (even though I live in Christchurch).
So, it's Sky and Sommet Sports for me !!!
