Luis Gustavo fee, $14 mil apparently agreed with Bayern

Young lad Perez on trial

Geoffery Kondogbia rumours surfacing again

Weirdest one of the lot is this Romanian chap Ciprian Marica, a 27 year old, he has a sharke record and his agent is quoted as saying we are about to sign him.

Bugger all goals scored for Schalke in the last two seasons, they let his contract run out, he is now available on a free, wouldn't touch this one with a barge pole.....

I haven't seen the game but apparently Perez played this morning. My mate from Cali says he's completely shark hot and would be a great signing :)

Haven't seen much of Gustavo but clearly it's a part of the field we need reinforcing. Looks like good business.

Gustavo is quoted as being versatile across defensive roles, so adding him would be great.

This would be typical Arsene. Publicly hunting after Suarez and boom lands Gustavo!

Gustavo can play CB as well which is great, he can help cover while TV5 is injured.

Perez is trialling, and even travelled with the side and got on in the 2nd half of the City game overnight. Must be a real possibility if  we did that. Sign him and Gustavo and all our midfield/CB woes are solved really. You'd think we'd only want one of Perez/Kondogbia since they're both 20yo defensive mids.

I'd prefer all 3 over 1 Suarez.

I agree Foal, although it would be lovely to nab someone with a bit of clout in the final 3rd. Although Giroud is still looking sharp, as is Theo and Cazorla.

We're being written off but if you know this squad you know there's a mental steel there we haven't seen for a few seasons.

Get Gustavo and one of the young blokes and I'm happy.

Let the LWC's get Suarez after they lose that welsh bloke to Spain and for me that'd be a good window. If we have an opportunity to pick up someone top class for the front third (ie: Shrek or Benzema) then that would be icing though I don't expect it. And to be clear - Torres was top class. How bloodly good has rambo been pre season and 2nd half of last season. Wilshere will need to step up or he might be spending a bit of time of the bench

Ramsey out of the International midweek bollix set of friendlies.  Ankle sprain - hopefully he's just sat at home for the week playing Xbox or gambling.  Or making sure John Terry isn't hanging out down his street waiting for all the men to head off to work.

How old is Leggy?  Is he 12 or 72?

Got ticket to the Arsenal v Fenerbahce game last night. Lower tier on halfway behind the dugouts but in the very back row :( Hopefully there aren't too many crazy Turks there

This weekend I reckon, in time for the home game. He won't start but he'll be in London to see the match.
Rooney rumours reviving is interesting, Shrek would be good. However offering $50m for Suarez? Is it good value? Only time will tell. I'm assuming his ban doesn't get served during champions league?

He is available for CL, however to be included for this first round of ties players had to be registered by this morning.  Hope we don't fek it all up...!!

Someone like Bitey-racist would no doubt drop us like a hot potato if we banana skinned against Fener.

In fact, are we definitely playing Fener?  Is Wafer still to make a decision if Fener are allowed in the CL?  It is next week you know!

No decision will be made before we play, apparently.

All seems a bit stupid really - UEFA only have themselves to blame letting the shenanigans drag on.

What happens if we lose, but Fener lose their appeal? I don't believe anyone can answer that yet

Downing and Carroll to Westham for a combined 21mil, despite costing Liverpool a combined 55mil just 2 years ago.

And we're the ones smoking something, lol

Of course it was, I know it better than most! But no need for bringing in Down Syndrome and Kenny being a 'pisshead' into it. Out of order, that.

Here's our boys who have been called up for international duty this week;

https://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/49051/international-watch-gunners-on-duty

Cazorla is travelling to Ecuador, other than that no real worries there, all short trips. Although Ramsey and Walcott have picked up 'minor' knocks. I have a feeling Cazorla won't figure too heavily in our first couple of games - with his extended rest due to Confed Cup, and now this random trip to Ecuador.

Time to pick me first line-up of the season yay

                    Szczesny

Sagna-Mertesacker-Koscielny-Gibbs

                Arteta-Ramsey

      Walcott-Wilshere-Podolski

                     Giroud

If Ramsey is injured, Rosicky to come in. If Walcott is injured, Ox to come in.

think i'd rather see Fabianski starting in goal, other than that I agree with the starting linup you've selected.

If he brings his Bayern Munich form from last season, then hell yes

I didnt like the soft nature of Negredo's goal at the weekend however...

Did you see Sneezy gift him a chance when he dropped an easy high ball floated in?

Sneezy is not ready to be #1, imo - he's actually gotten worse. Why we haven't signed Cesar, I don't know/

Good call, i had forgotten that

ironically he's usually decent in the air - flappy's key weakness for me

Cesar for Fabianski would be a great squad upgrade

I would <3 Cesar coming across. Still time yet lads. I imagine he still wants out and QPR don't want to pay his wages.

Chompy to RM and Benzema to Arsenal would be amazing.

Did you read about Gourcuff willing to take a pay cut to move to us? I'd take him in a heart beat. 27, French international, attacking midfielder. Rosicky must be in his last season, be good to have someone to come and compete with the younger lads when he's slowing down.

Gustavo still needs to happen!!!

Why when he is injured nearly as much as Diaby??

He was decent in his younger years, now seems like no one but Arsene wants him, Lyon are desperate to get him off the wage bill, even on high wages if they thought he was good they surely wouldn't care since he has been there 3 years in all!
