We have 12 points on the Chq Book Champions and we need to get that to 15-18 before the end of the Jan transfer window. Even with  their staggering record of spend to win I reckon it'll be all on early '14 for their accounts department.

MCFC are the real problem. Great coach , 4-5 of the best players in the EPL , enormous squad depth.

Happy with 5 points from next 3 games as long as we beat Everton.

Lets hope maths are not included in you job, as I think you will find that you spent a lot more than most other EPL teams this year.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

C'mon Leggy, it's the historical notion here mate. And besides, surely you must be expecting them to spend in January when you're this far behind?

Game against Everton will be a massive one. They've only lost once this year, but have notched 6 draws. Need to make sure they have their 2nd loss of the season.

I imagine we'll see:

                    Szy

Jenkinson Mert  Kosc  Gibbs

           Arteta   Flamini

Ramsey       Ozil          Walcott/Cazorla

                  Giroud

I think for the big games starting Arteta and Flamini provides extra cover at the back to release the front 4 to do what they do best. I'd like to see Wally start too as Santi still isn't firing.

I'm not sure that it will make any difference as we need to get rid of at least 4/5 players and get some quality-- and is Moyes really up to it. I'm not sure he is.

Guessing this for everton tomorrow night;

                       Szczesny

Jenkinson-Mertesacker-Koscielny-Gibbs

                 Arteta-Ramsey

            Wilshere-Ozil-Cazorla

                         Giroud

Sagna's still injured. Walcott's illness is still keeping him from starting this one apparently. Flamini could make a case for arteta's place perhaps.

Hopefully Theo gets another late run out.

I'd agree with that Paulm. Flamini and Arteta is interesting. I would love to have a game where Flamini, Arteta, Ozil, and Ramsey started but there are only 3 midfield spots!

Also City away to Southampton, big game. If Southampton can show up and City be arse away from home again we might get some more space on them...

Southampton have been leaky recently and with a couple of key defenders/DMs out I think City will walk over them. Hope I'm wrong though.

More chance of Chelsea dropping points at Stoke I'd say.

if the season contiues like it is im goiing to laugh at RVP leaves utd for trophies and gets one, but next season no europe and arsenal wins.

Or both lol. Today's results have been brilliant so far...

Great results for us this morning!

Tough game tonight but if we can win we'll be 7 points clear, man that'd be awesome. I'm nervous about it though, Everton look pretty decent right now.

At the start of this week I thought we'd separated into a 3-way title race and a 3-way battle for fourth.

ManC and Chelsea have both dropped points though, and Liverpool and Spurs have had two wins each to put themselves back in the frame. Meanwhile ManU are slipping into the relegation battle... lol

big game is now bigger

massive 3 points for us. going to Chelsea and MCFC 7 clear is way healthy

as for the Chq Book Champs it'll be credit carnage in Jan. Only viewed the News Highlights but sounded like the "fans" were booing their team this morning. They can't sack Moyes  because of how bad it makes SAF look. Few problems to sort there for sure.

Sky Sports UK is carrying a story about the Little Boy inside of RvP requesting a move away from ManUre.  What a fanny baws.

How old is Leggy?  Is he 12 or 72?

Well Arsenal we both called that, wahoo! My personal favorite from the RvP memes:

Tonight is now so much more important, 7 points clear would be massive. You then manage to get a point, or possibly 3 from the Etihad, and we're looking even better.

Side note, how bad have West Ham looked post Reid injury? Still a possible Arsenal signing?

Excellent news. I've got to say, some fans are looking pretty silly right now given their comments  a few months ago...

Anyone else watching? Had a late one so have only managed to get up for 2nd half. Mega impressed by Flamini since he came on, he's like an onfield Wenger just geeing everyone up. Some good play but final ball to unlock doesn't seem to be there.

F*CK! Giroud kills a 25 yard volley into the cross bar but we have to settle for the draw. That goal was a cracking strike but disappointing they got the space to hit it, do you think Szy could have done better?

That's exciting RTJ!

Gibbs could have been tighter, but ArseBlogger made a good observation that the cross shouldn't have come in. Additionally Gibbs was placed to clear the cross until Lukaku did his overhead kick attempt which guided it to the young fella. Best unintentional assist!

Played Fifa10 last night with Arsenal. Best starting 11 I could produce is:

          Almunia

Sagna Gallas Vermalen Clichy

         Fabregas  Song

Walcott      Nasri      Arshavin

                 RvP

Amazing how only 3 of those players are still at this club 3 seasons later.

So for tomorrow night...?

              Szy

Jenkinson Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal (give Gibbs a break)

            Flamini Arteta (rest Wilshere)

Walcott      Cazorla      Ramsey (get Theo game time and give Santi some time centrally for forms sake)

                  Giroud

I'd hope to do an on the hour sub for both Giroud and Ramsey for Bendtner and Rosicky.
