Let's be honest, a draw tomorrow is perfect. Glad we bounced back well!

Chambers started midfield? How did he go?

Fantastic result this morning. Nice to see us bounce back after that steaming pile of sharke we served up the other day.

Thought Chambers played fairly well at DM today. We got a clean sheet and he had no real clangers but not a patch on Coq.
Ozil was sublime.
Nice to see Cech get the record number of clean sheets was half expecting us to concede a goal just to make him wait another game.
Really rate Gabriel quick , physical and really fires up.
Pers sitter off the post was hilarious can somewhat relate to it being tall and unable to move quickly.

Hopefully Leicester guve City a whack tomorrow.

I thought he looked pretty good. Definitely more natural on the ball than I expected, and he can play a good long pass. Couple of times he threaded balls through a needle to the forwards, and seemed very adept at spreading curled balls out to the wide players. Also looked nice and calm in tight spaces at our defensive end.

Still a couple of bad giveaways but overall pretty happy with how he looked. Also thought the Ox went quite well, starting to shake off some of that rust...

Gabriel was immense. Unluckiest player in the squad not to be getting regular starts. 6 interceptions??? Nice.

Saw a stat at HT on arseblog "Arsenal have created 6 chances, all by Ozil". LOL. He is a magician.

9 for the match, crikey.

If he can play this well buy a genuine in the box finisher surely.

Wenger on the transfer window: "I will be busy that is for sure. I have already said we are short." From the Newcastle press conference. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks then...

Simply put, a must win game.

Watford, Everton and Swansea could all lend a hand this weekend as well ...

That could be a big win yesterday. Scraping a 1-0 when you're outplayed is exactly what you need to do to win the league. Still can't shake the feeling we'll eventually throw it all away at some point like 2 seasons ago.

get through the next 3 games

@ Liverpool, @ Stoke, home v Chelsea.

7 points is good I think.

Our run in (April) looks ok. Key is being close enough end of March. I don't think we will bottle it but we won't win unless Ozil plays 35-36 matches...

Tell you what, Elneney & Aubumayung (apologies for spelling) would be immensely useful in the title race. Just read that post Newcastle Wenger was quoted as Coq already running & Santi back mid February, with Sanchez in contention for Sunderland.

It's the transfer window, of course all our players are only a "couple of weeks away." Then in Feb we'll find out they all need surgeries.

I'd have Aubameyang in a heartbeat.

40mil? Yeah throw it at Dortmund. He would be brilliant in the PL.

Three for me, and two for them.

From F365

"Arsenal are reported to have told Roma to forget about signing Wojciech Szczesny on a permanent basis as they want the goalkeeper back at Emirates Stadium.

Szczesny is on a season-long loan at Roma, who have been keen to activate a clause in the deal which allows them to sign the Pole for a pre-agreed price.

However, Arsenal have told Roma they want Szczesny back in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror’s resident Arsenal fan John Cross, with the Italian side now set to sign Brazilian stopper Alisson from Internacional instead.

Petr Cech is undisputed No.1 at Arsenal, but David Ospina is frustrated at his lack of chances and could leave in the summer, freeing up a space for Szczesny as Cech’s main back-up and competition.

Szczesny said in November: “Nine months is a long time in football and anything can happen, but Arsenal are like a family to me and I’ve got to admit that if the Gunners do call me back, I would say yes.

“I could see myself at Arsenal for all my life, and I don’t hide the fact that is still my dream.”"

Don't think it's going to happen. Aubameyang just signed an extended contract until something like 2020 a few months back. Dortmund don't need to sell either.

Makes sense. Szczesny has been here his whole career but Ospina didn't come here to spend his prime on the bench and has a right to feel a bit unlucky and annoyed to lose his place after a pretty good season last season. But how good has it been to have the best keeper in the league again? I said at the time Cech was pretty much my dream signing, but as a keeper myself I think even I underestimated how much of a difference he would make. John Terry said he would be worth 12-15 points a season and that's looking pretty accurate so far.

The only thing wrong with the Terry prediction was it came from John Terry.

Cech has been fantastic. Such a breath of fresh air to have our GK position locked down so solidly. Since Almunia left we improved that position but always felt like we were only nearly there with Szczesny not quite experienced enough, Fabianski prone to the odd flap, and Ospina being a great shot-stopper but pernaps not physically imposing enough.

Cech is the perfect specimen in every category.

I still believe Szczesny could go on to be world class, so keen to keep him under contract even if he's no.2 to Cech or gets sent out on more loans until Cech is ready to retire. He's been here since he was 15, qualifies as home-grown, and appears to have all the ingredients both physically and talent-wise - just needs to keep gaining experience and grow up a bit i.e. eliminate smoking and other such shenanigans.

Cech has been our player of the season for sure, I still can't get how it's taken Wenger so long to sign someone of his calibre in such an important position when it's obvious to everyone else.

Looking forward to the second half of the season even if I am still worried about how it will pan out given the position we are in.

Aubameyang I would take too for sure. They can have Debuchy, Arteta, Ospina and 60 million for him.

How old is Leggy?  Is he 12 or 72?

enjoyed the win over Sunderland

Liked the two young guys getting game time, arguably Adelaide should of had a goal

Liked the DM pairing of Chambers and Ox good merging of skills

Bellerin excellent

Ref's non call on Giroud penalty! Wow that was bad!

Campbell is looking the business. Very calm in the box, makes good decisions, and so committed on defence.

Looks like the natural understudy to Sanchez when we're all fit now.
