I missed those.. Link?

Wilshere needs to do something.. something to put him out there and make himself more important at Arsenal than he has become. Otherwise he might never realise his potential. At Arsenal anyway.

signing ospina might be the best thing for szczesny

responded well to a challenge in the past

Agree with that Paul. When Fabianski was Flapianski, Szczesny had no reason to fear his place and got complacent. When Fabs made the U-turn that woke him up.

I did read a soccernet article that alluded to Wilshere being a possibility in that position, his break up play etc being mentioned. Not sure on it, but would love for him to push on from where he has plateaued. Really enjoyed what I saw in the videos of Carvalho today. He was a monster.

Bendtner expecting 30k extra for every point frankfurt get in the league. He really thinks he is God's gift!

I read an article where someone did the maths on the Bendtner deal, and seeing as Frankfurt was nearly relegated last season with only 31 points, he would have to help the club win every game of the season to earn as much money as on his previous Arsenal deal.

Bendtner is an idiot, he obviously doesn't have the passion to actually play, given the deals he's refused over the last few years

Quintero - looks to be a signing to future proof us. I don't think he's going to guarantee us silverware this year as we're well covered in his position. However he could be a potential revelation too, so buying now might be to ensure we are well covered there when Rosicky/Cazorla move on.

Jenko - I hope he absolutely smashes his season with them & comes back knocking on the door to be Debuchy's back up.

Khedira - As F365 points out how does an increase in Real's desire to sell him change the likelihood of him coming to Arsenal when it was wages blocking the move? Would Real subsidise his wages to try and recover something? Highly likely Khedira will take his new Real contract & we'll be left scratching our heads about how serious it all was, especially given he's still on holiday.

Their quote is from Nov last year so nothing new, but it could still have legs.

If Arsene is seriously looking at it for this season then he best have him playing there at the emirates cup - he was in a more advanced position against NYRB.

So Jenko is at Westham on loan, I'm glad we didn't sell him. If Chambers plays CB in future then we may ultimately want Jenko back, if he goes good enough on loan.

Rumours on Quintero and Carvalho got fairly serious in the last 24 hours, and the Khedira stuff keeps hanging around, so sounds like we're still out there looking at players which is good.

So hard to make out what is true.

You'd think that if Quintero came then Cazorla or Podolski would be leaving, just looking at the balance of our squad.

From what I can see the Emirates Cup will not be on ESPN this weekend...

It's not live on Arsenalplayer either

Dodgy streams it is then

Bit annoying as it had been live on ESPN in the past. I believe it is on ESPN elsewhere so not sure why we're not getting it.

Good move for Jenkinson. He wasn't going to play much this season and is at a stage where he needs to play. Be good for him to get some games.

Quintero coming in would totally mean the end for one of Cazorla or Podolski. There had been the odd Cazorla to Atletico rumours, but think the only way that would be happening is if he is forcing his way out.

Permalink Permalink

I think we'd all rather see Poldi leave than Cazorla, but it seems unsurprisingly that Cazorla is the man more in demand.

Permalink Permalink

Im the opposite. Id rather we kept poldi and I wouldn't be fussed if santi left. Though I do like them both

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Can't lose Cazorla unless some throws crazy money at us.....

a bit over the all Khedira bizo to be honest, i would rather we get DMF that will just hold deep, tackle and cover for the wingbacks

Poldi was a squad player already? He only got starts last season because of theo's knee

When fully fit Cazorla was our preferred option on the left

Wenger putting Gerrard in his place:

"You're never too good for Arsenal and Steven Gerrard knows that. But I can understand completely that he asked him to stay because he wanted him (Suarez) to play with him and have a chance to win the Premier League. But it didn't happen, and anyway, Suarez left."

Strange interview with Wenger over night saying there is no truth to Quintero coming in, then towards the end he got his cheeky smile on when asked again

Also pointed out we were never in for Ballotelli
