Anyone new back for the game? Or perhaps anyone new out? If no one else is back im not sold on Ox starting again, I'd put Santi & Flamini in the middle and start Welbeck, Giroud, Sanchez, and Walcott in front of them & smash them for pace.

Merry Christmas gents, I got a beach football as the only football related present, which in a rugby mad house is progress!! I saw Poldi linked with a move to Inter in Jan on loan. Torn on this. It's not great for us to lose his quality on the bench, but it's great for him given his current situation and how much of a good sort he is

3-0 win tomorrow, QPR have been pants & we've had a couple of OK results so the confidence should be there. Expecting much the same side from Liverpool minus The Ox who didn't play well & crocked himself.

Sanchez wins a pen.

Takes it himself... and that was very poor

WTF Sanchez? Thought Cazorla was our back up man to Arteta?

Enjoying seeing Rosicky back, he isn't having his best game but he definitely has slotted some nice passes in there

Good free kock from giroud.

I'd like to see Sanchez off set pieces, he's just not consistent enough with delivery from corners.

Sanchez makes amends. I've really enjoyed seeing Rosicky back in the middle. And really look forward to a Walcott cameo.

Bloody hell Giroud, that was ridiculous!
Permalink Permalink

Yes but those amendments happen in open play, just don't let him near set pieces & he can just enjoy bossing it where he's good!
Permalink Permalink

And thats him for 3 matches!?!

Oh completely agree - his ability to hit first man on his corners has been excellent recently. Unfortunately it's the first defender.

Bloody Giroud, what a stupid reaction.

Oh FFS a penalty, this is nuts!!

Hope we don't coq it up from here

Stupid from Giroud. It's bad enough having a fixture pile up without one of our main players getting foolishly sent off and therefore suspended.

Thank god for Sanchez though.

Three for me, and two for them.

3points in the bag not to fussed if we have to scrap out a win at this time of year , all that matters is winning.Thank goodness we held them off at the end there wouldn't have been surprised to see them equalise.

Yes 3 match stand down for a straight red

Great dive from the QPR player, looked like he'd been shot.

As the pundit called at the time, Rio's grip around Giroud's neck should have been a second yellow too. Dumb move, no excuses regardless.

FFS why does the last 10 minutes of every game have to be an absolute nightmare? Was sure they were going to equalise but thankfully we held on this time. Ridiculous from Giroud although you'd still like to see a big strong CB not go down like he's taken a kinghit from Mike Tyson. Great stuff as usual from Sanchez, just a shame we still need him to carry us at home to QPR. Rosicky was a breath of fresh air in midfield. The way he carries and recycles the ball just adds pace to everything we do.

Im not sure if its too soon but i can see Welbz starting in the middle with Alexis and Walcott either side of him.

I for one would be stoked with this. Something like this:

                    Szczesny

Debuchy Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs

               Flamini   Rosicky

                     Cazorla

     Walcott      Welbeck    Sanchez

he has been on the bench for the last 2 games, I cant help feel we would have gotten a run if Giroud hadn't had the brain fart
