no update for a while, as I have been living in Newcastle during the week and they have not been playing at home when I have been there.  On the plus side, I have had engaging conversations with geordie cab drivers, who all say that Michael Owen is a midget c**t, and Ashley is a c**t and they will have a party when he dies.  Very amusing stuff.

Off to Hull today to watch West Ham take 3 points off the tigers.  Expecting a terrible game with Zinadine Kilblane to be sent off and the legend that is Dimante to score the winner from a free kick in the 78th minute.  C'mom you irons.

Note - I have a stonking hangover which isn't making the 2 hour train journey to Hull very appealing at all.

I wonder if they have a women's team called the Cougars?

re your Tyneside experience: "On the plus side, I have had engaging conversations with geordie cab drivers, who all say that Michael Owen is a midget c**t, and Ashley is a c**t and they will have a party when he dies."

Always thought the NE was a very hospitable/friendly place (unless your family name is Owen, Ashley, Wise or probably even Llambias)

went to Elland Road yesterday for the yorkshire derby - Leeds vs Huddersfield.  About 37,000 people there for the pulsating 2-2 draw.  Very good fun.

Bury had a win (as they tend to do when I am not there) and are sitting in 8th place just outside the play-offs.

37,000 to a 3rd division match. Wow.

Three for me, and two for them.

really good crowd and atmosphere there.  There really is nothing like a local derby to stoke up the passions.

Lee Clarke doing a decent job at Huddersfield - they play some good football, and are a decent shout for promotion via the play-offs.  Leeds will finish top of the league by about 10 points.

nah - based in Newcastle during the week at the moment.

Even if I was still living in Leeds I don't think I would have bothered going to that.

sorry all who followed this for a while (mum and Mr Incredible).

Bury beat local rivals Rochdale (spit) on Monday so are now in third place.  It seems that as soon as I stopped going they turned into a decent team and rocketed up the table.  I am now back down in London so kind of hoping they get a play off final at Wembley so I can go to that.

No live games for a while, but off to West Ham versus Birmingham next Wednesday night (I think).  Also getting ready for Leeds vs the Yids in the cup (and in the snow) at Elland Road.

Went to West Ham vs Birmigham last night - very cold (I lost 3 toes) but a good game.  Birmingham are sh*t!  Really, really sh*t.  The fact that they are 8th or whatever completely splashes muck across the face of the "EPL is the greatest league in the world" bollocks that gets spouted.  I just cannot imagine the 8th best team in Spain or Germany being anywhere near that terrible.

West Ham played well, Carlton Cole is the greatest centre forward to ever play the game (he was just unplayable last night - fast, strong, great touch), and Diamante was brilliant, awful and mental, sometimes all at the same time.

Off to West Ham versus Bolton tomorrow to watch the hammers clinch safety with a 3-0 win.

The sun is shining, I'm off to the pub shortly, and have a lazy afternoon amongst the racists and mentals at Upton Park to look forward to tomorrow - life is wonderful.

I'm off to the pub shortly too. Old Street however, and I've just given up my ticket for Spurs v Fulham tomorrow bacause I can no longer make it. Enjoy the east end tomoz. Bolton deserve to be beat for hiring Coyle. Should have let him say at Burnley.

well that was a load of sh*t.  West Ham were f**king terrible - having a football kicked straight into your nuts terrible.

Carlton Cole was sh*t, Tompkins and Upson were sh*t, Spector was sh*t.

Bolton are a very average team, but we made them look like like Brazil 1970, or Waterside Karori 2006 (for the game against Upper Hutt).  I have said this before, but Jack Wilshire will never make it as a footballer.  Looks great is pre-season games no one cares about, but I have watched him a couple of times in the flesh and he flatters to deceive.

Having missed out on going to the Cottagers last night for a great win against Juve (James Dean had some spare tickets, but I couldn't get to west London by 6 - who kicks off at 6???????????) I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Arsenal vs West Ham, and I have tickets in the West Ham end.  I only live about 5 minutes walk from the stadium, so I have a couple of gooners and a West Ham fan coming round in the afternoon for a few beers and an afternoon of Soccer Saturday.  Wander down to the ground 10 minutes before kick off, watch West Ham win 1-0 with Robert Green scoring from a corner in the 14th minute (I am expecting West Ham to go all out for the win) and then back to mine for a few more beers and a watch of the highlights.  Lover-lee.

Also, I forgot to mention that I had a chip barmcake (chips in a burger bun) in the Bury FC Social club prior to kick off on Saturday.  Apparently the pie barmcake is the way to go, and I am in the process of trying to track down somewhere that sells one.  Will keep you posted.

cor.. pie in a sandwich? haven't had one of those in years....  *sigh*

thoughts from the Arsenal vs West Ham game yesterday:

* Arsenal fans are a disgrace.  No noise until the second goal which was scored with about 10 to go.  Great team and stadium deserve better.
* Song was quality, Eboue is a diving c**t.
* If Mido is really is on 1,000 per week, we are overpaying him by 990 per week.
* West Ham were sh*t - big chance of them going down.
* Referee was f**king awful.  Couldn't see the sending off (other end of the ground) but watching it on TV when I got in early Sunday moring it seemed a really bad decision.  Everything else went Arsenal's way - everything.  It didn't change the game (see the point above) but it was very frustrating.
* Arsenal have the worst fans in the league.

Funniest part of the night was the last 5 minutes of the first half with the West Ham fans singing about Sol Campbell - "he's going home, he's going home, Campbell's going home" to the tune of 3 Lions.

Oh, and by the way, Arsenal fans are are sh*t.

off to west ham vs wolves, but still stuck in office - bollocksy tit wank!

Will be nice (when I finally get there) to see a crowd make some noise after the Library on Saturday).  Massive game that we have to win.
