To be fair, I would probably start placing less emphasis on the derby if it were over ten years since I'd won it too.

Doesn't it work the other way? You value it more because you haven't won it for ages. Yes, the derby is important to us. And we hate having only won it once (Jan 2008) in a long, long time. However, we've got a bigger game this weekend against Portsmouth to think about just now, in another competition we care alot about.
None of this detracts from the point that you and your Venga-boys seem to spend alot of time in this thread... derby game or not.

Big Day tomorrow. Heading up 2 Wembley, taking my son & going to risk attempting to get tkts off tout (as much as this goes against the grain). I sure the lads will do the buisness and this will be a kick start for the 3 games coming up that are likel to decide wether will be challenging for 4th.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
Managed to get in to Wembley for the match. A bit late a lot poorer � amount never to be spoken aloud again. Thought Yids lacked urgency in the last 3rd. Lack of quality balls from Bently ddint help. Bale looked best player on the pitch. Pompey fans kept singing / supporting their lads throughout. Hard to take a lose in such a big game, but has made me a stronger person and a more loyal fan!!!!
