Brilliant - thanks Phil

Pat Jennings  (sigh)

So looks like Eidhur was pretty handy as was Modric (as if he wouldn't be).  All good.

Sounds like a very learned American with you!

Cheers

We might need him as the season get towards the business end.  Crouch seems to be in a barren patch.

More worrying is Lennon not yet quite right and King with an inury (thankfully not his knee).

He started the 0-1 loss against Wolves the other week at their place, but was apparantly ineffective and was taken off in the 2nd half...

You know, even though the other team threads have just as much post replies, the reason why A***nal has their own sub forum on here is because they are technically not English nor British Players despite having a team in the EPL. They are a London-based, non-British team in the EPL like the Phoenix being a Wellington-based non-Australian team in the A-league. It doesn't endeared me to them, but it is kind of sad that UK has plenty of clubs as it is to worry about than the bunch of foreigners grouping into the one club.

Well this guy gets around. Even more people getting sick, including staff and journalists. Must be the same fellow to try and stop us getting in the top four and letting A***nal in the top four against. He's getting better at making people sick from last time.

I dub this person as the "Poisoner from A***nal."

I did have tix to us v fulham away int he cup this weekend.

But I sold it, cos I've got recording to do on saturday. Anyways, my brother and some other ex-wellingtonians are going along.

Quesiton is: Paly or Crouch to starts? Both in form right now after the Elngland game How's about Paly AND crouch to start with Defoe on the bench!
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
TBH i'm more worried about who is going to play in the midfield. No Hudd, Palacios almost has a suspension, no Lennon, no Bentley (can't believe i'm saying this) no Jenas. So who will play?

And Defoe may have picked up a hamstring injury for England aswell.
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Benching defoe might not be a bad ploy.  Gives Pavy a chance to show that he does want to play for the club and for Crouch to continue on from his International form (ie get some mojo back for the club).

Sends a message to Defoe that there is competition for the spot.

Midfiled is a real worry....

PLEASE do Phil.  It was a good result last time you went.  Do it for our sakes!

Next match is against Blackburn (minus Nelsen?).  This is the game that by rights HH or I should have been going to c/o the DomPost competition.  Since I graciously declined DomPost's offer of free flights and tix to WHL (in order to watch Old Bling capitulate to Nix), the decent thing Spurs can do is to win handsomely.

This from the BBC's 606: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A64581302

Found this on the article about the guy that threw the grenade back at the Talib*an.....
"He will carry the coffin of Cpl Richard Green up the ramp of the C17 plane that will fly his comrade's body home. Cpl Green was just 23 when he was killed by small-arms fire in Sangin on 2 March. Rifleman McKie will also read the eulogy he has written for his friend and comrade.
The quietly-spoken soldier pauses as he remembers him, his voice cracking slightly.
"Soldiering was his passion, and he was such a good friend to everyone. Greenie was uncompromising, but if you were a hard-working soldier he'd look after you. He was passionate about his friends and family. He loved them to bits, and he always talked about his brother Daniel," he says.
"He loved Tottenham Hotspur. As a New Zealander I don't care too much about football, but as a tribute to him I'm going to support them."

clapclap, although this comment was a bit wierd:
"As a New Zealander I don't care too much about football?"
Mind you, the guy does have an invercatgill accent.... and perhaps he left NZ a few years ago. Maybe I can forgive him.

No - haven't seen a squeak from the DomPost on the competition. (if you can see a squeak that is)

Ironic that Nelsen has picked up an injury so if anyone was going over to see him it would be disappointing.  Better to give it to someone who would truly appreciate and treasure the occasion.

Good man, tried to get tix for this game but I think it was sold out. You'll have to do the post match summary for us.

Brilliant 3rd goal for Spurs!

I watched the first half but the internet feed kept cutting out.

A good 3-1 win over rovers.

Partly makes up for the result downunder.

Injuries look to be pretty "deep".

Woodgate, Lennon definately and possibly King out for the rest of the season.

Bale seems to have had a good game. He was certainly consistently beating Selgado in the first half.

I will have to admit that I'm not confident of holding on to 4th with our run in, but hopefully we'll lift the FA cup even tho' we're a year too early.

Lennon starting light training today according to the UK papers, targeting Chelski on April 17 as his return.

Hmmm - 4th might a touch tough this season, given that we have ARSEnal (h), Man Yoo (a), and Chelski (h) in April.

No, none whatsoever, although you would have to say 21 yr old Brazilian is likely to take some time to get used to the the UK and the Premiership...!

Don't be surprised to see Wilson get a yellow card this week against Stoke, one more and he misses two games, the next two are against Pompey and Sunderland, after that we start the run of the big 3.

It's a no-brainer...

Hi there fellow yiddos.

Any of you guys interested in a down under Spurs forum, the official Australia / NZ Tottenham Hotspur supporters club, called Spurs Australia, site is at www.ozspurs.com

Just follow your nose from there.  We've got around 200 financial members and loads of other non-members that frequent the site.  Our National is on in Melbourne over ANZAC day weekend so if any of you happen to be in that part of the world, check the forum for details, however the main places we'll be include the Charles Dickens pub and the Turf Bar, both in the CBD.

Lets hope for a big win over Stoke tonight, minus Defoe!!!
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Thanks for the link.

I had a quick look at the site a few years back but it seemed to be totally Oz-based then.

Might even see Eidur get a run against Stoke (Crouch and Pavy to start)

4th spot for another week.

Seems like BAE and Corluka engaged in a bit of Dyer and Bowyer.

And in regards to a previous comment, Wilson left out to protect him from further yellow cards for the Cup game (presume a ban would extend to that). Big call him being replaced by Kaboul, but worked this week. Yay!

Dear Tottenham,

You don't like me, and i don't like you. However, i'd would be forever greatful if you took points off Man Utd and Chelsea in the coming weeks.

Please, just this once, don't bottle it.
