Through to the next round of the Copa del Rey with a 0-1 win away at Celta. I believe that we're playing Racing Santander in the semi-final. So, that was good!
But a 0-2 home defeat to Malaga has angered many of the fans... *sigh* What a rollercoaster.

Well, there we are. We lost 3-2, but we're into the final!! Yay!!!! Happy day! Cannot wait for the final! Against Sevilla. Soooo excited; a Cup final at last! Vamos Atletico!!!
Barcelona on the weekend. With Real playing bottom club Xerez, it could be a good opportunity for them to gain ground. Lose on purpose? These are typically epic encounters: 4-3 and 4-2 victories in the last two seasons. And a hiding the season before... Not much defence for Barca though.

Excellent. Happy to win that, although it helps Real. Only team to beat Barca so far this season (in La Liga). Huge 3 points.
Not so great in the Europa League today though. Played well enough, but Leo Franco stopped most of what we threw at him and the late eqauliser that Gala eventually scored was to be expected with the way football goes.

Atletico Madrid 4-1 Valencia!!!! We played so well, although we were playing with one (eventually two) man extra for a large period of the game. Went 0-1 down and battled back, scoring three of our goals in the last 11 minutes. It could have been much worse for Valencia except Cesar was on fire. Top top top result!!! Vamos Atleti! Absolutely buzzing about that- Valencia are right up there too.

1-1 away at Zaragoza. Reyes got a ridiculous red card which didn't help, although we were 1-0 down then anyway. But the 92nd minute equaliser scored by Ibra after a delightful cross was awesome and really pumping!!
