Ghana v Argentina, simply brilliant game. There is some phenomenal talent in both teams but man the Ghanaian 6, 7 and 11 are spectacularly good and unbelievably quick.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Ah dammit. I knew I should have stayed instead of going home to watch the Junior AWs sharkfest.

But hey, we've got the same number of points as Argentina after 2 games! Woohoo!

5k croud.

Best game of the group. Rain mostly clearedfor the game, but opened up again afterwards.

Was a shame that only a relatively small croud saw two very good games last night. The second in particular was a terrific game. Ghana were spectacular and the final score really flattered the Argies.

Guess it shows , you should NEVER pass up an opportunity to watch live football

Agreed, that was fantastic & enjoyed both games...Some very good talent on display .

Smallish but noisy croud - The Ghanaians kept up the drumbeats, chanting and bird whistles throughout !

Hopefully get some decent weather before/during the remaining games in Welly - would be beneficial for croud attendance/experience & to keep the pitch decent.

Looking forward to Friday...

Can anyone who has been to a game at the Westpac (or whatever we've to call it) confirm that the only beer you can buy is 2.5% Monteiths?

In fact I have found out they do only sell 2.5% monteiths. Mental

You can just hope that now Blatter is out, a real Beer lover takes over FIFA who puts quality over money. The biggest shock was when I saw they sell Budweiser in the World Cup in Germany!

I'm gutted Argentina are out. So many of their players i would have loved to have seen live. Can't believe how much they have underpeformed.

Three for me, and two for them.

If you have to be drunk to enjoy sporting events, then maybe you don't really like the sport much in the first place. I've been to six WC games now and had one beer. I was there for the football.
