used to wear (and loved ) the preds, but the new preds are av. love the world cups. adidas have just brought out a new boot, the pulse. much like the preds but with no tounge that are realy good

I would have thought a heavier sturdier boot would be more practical for keepers, given the amount of heavy kicking upfield, rather than a lightweight fancy-pantsy ballerinas slip-on that strikers wear.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

I reckon technique rather than boot choice would be the biggest gactor in kicking the ball long disctance.

Dear elderly goalkeepers...

...anone over-35 fancy dusting the gloves off for a game Saturday ?

My masters side appears to be keeper-less this week.

the more you frustrate someone the worse they continue to get! especialy the bubbles

Bet you whinge to the ref and look for a yellow card when you get caught in a late tackle after all that needling!

bet i do! i whinge all the time!and i do my best to get animals who take out anyone late booked.there is plenty of room for hardness on a football field but no room for late tackles. i would love to see how you play football

nothing justifys hitting a keeper late, even if he's yelled a little abuse at you to distract you......in the lower grades keepers get no protection at all..

No, we'd be better without a keeper... I'm a rubbish outfield player.  A disgrace as a keeper.

Id rather play in barefeet but then you can do more damage with studs in the face.

Btw, indoor goalkeeping is awesome.

Keeping is awesome -  end of convo.

I keep for both my 11's and indoor team, kept for two teams in the recent 5  a side tourney which totally rocked.

2. Both from the spot. If we were winning by at least 3 goals and no one was on a hat trick, I got to take penalties.DKP222008-04-08 22:08:46

How much will you be paying for them? go to www.prodirectsoccer.com . I guarantee you'll find much better gloves for half the price you pay here. I have never tried Nike gloves, prefer mine to be made by goalkeeper specialist brands e.g. Sells, Selsport, Ho etc. Mind you, I see many professionals wearing those so they must be alright.

Agree with you Radioman on both points. Sells are by far the best glove brand.

And yes, Fingersaves are pointless. They restrict hand movements and just snap as soon as the ball hits your fingertips.
