Good reminder of how outstanding he was early in the season.

Yeah surprising that Kosta is up there tbh.

Brilliant man-of-the-match display by Kosta in the Grand Final.

I bet Victory fans were instead expecting Berisha, Finkler or Ben Khalfalla to stand out in the final.

Nah - it's the Greek kid from a Wellie fish 'n ship shop who eclipses them all.

Set up the opening goal with a great cross to Berisha.

Scored the second.

Looked like he would've got the third but for Bloxham moving inside of him, taking the pass and scoring.

Broxham.

A very good display by Kosta but motm?  Clearly Milligan.

It's just the way. The flashy goal scorer gets the credit when the game was decided in midfield. No disrespect to Kosta - he got a goal and an assist but strikers should be scoring when your midfield bosses it like that.

Milligan dominated, I thought. Kosta was in top 3 though.

He was a lot better than the much hyped FBK for sure.

Actually things are so PC at the FFA there doesn't seem to have been a man-of-the-match or MVP award for the Final that I can find anywhere online.

Maybe they were so surprised by Frank Lowy's falling off the stage that thay forgot about it.

Agree Milligan was worthy of the man-of-the-match after sober reflection.

But nah, I'm giving it to Kosta !!!

6 goals and 8 assists this season. I rated him more than FBK. Should have another crack at Europe not sure he can be squeezed into the cap and he may go backwards playing for another A league club

FBK was very quiet in the semi as well.

Now all he needs to do is actually play a good game for New Zealand. Still waiting...

Has been rumours about him heading back to Europe in this off season. he has one more year on his contract, so Victory will want a fee for him.

That is unfair, he was one of the best in Mexico game. He got us the penalty and was overall the only one I can remember that created any danger in front of the goal.

he's never displayed club form at all for nz, always underwhelming like rojas.

Bit harsh on Rojas... Rojas has played a handful of games for NZ whereas Barbs has played quite a bit.

You could argue nobody has really performed well for the All Whites over the past few years. Only Chris James springs to mind as really exceeding any expectations and pretty much everything else has been average or disappointing since 2010.

Don't agree with that.

Thomas has been good.

Tzimopoulos played solid.

Some of the keepers have looked promising.

Tuiloma and Storm Roux have exceeded expectations of them too I'd say... Part of our problem is that we are lighter on strikers compared to Killen/Smeltz/Fallon, with Wood on the bench. Actually Fallon had a good game in Auckland too!

Tuiloma and Roux? Nope. In the last Game Tuiloma did an ok job. In the games prior to that at DM, he was all at sea. Roux can't guard a sentry post.

As a full back I thought everyone had been crapping on about Tuiloma's composure etc. I don't mean that they were great comparative to the other players in the team, but that they have exceeded initial people's expectations of them.

scored yesterday in the FFA Cup semi final against Hulme.  To be fair while Kosta did alright Victory looked in not great shakes and the commentators gave them a warning about Monday's big game.

Goal and an assist best game of the season imo not the team you want it to be against though. Will be interesting to see what happens when his contract expires. He wont get the marquee cash with Berisha at MV but he may get it elsewhere in the A league either way good news for him at least

he was looking very sharp. Fast. Decisive. And obviously well coached as starting to make the right decisions about when to pass and when to dribble. This November window the All Whites will have our players in their best condition (Reid excluded). The last few windows the A League players have not been match fit. Also Wood, Rojas, Thomas now getting some good minutes regularly. Looking forward to the Oman game.

I agree Barbarouses must be on the cusp of marquee status in the league. I think he does need to show just a little bit more composure in front of goal. I think he could be a 10 goal a season player which would be great for a winger in this league.

Defiantly the best player of the round, Barbarouses form is just getting better. I hope he brings it with him for the AW match against Oman.
