A type of Chelsea model but on a more modest scale.

Sign a bunch of young players, see what sticks, loan the rest out and then sell them on. Some for losses, some for profit.

Those who stick, sell on from time to time to replenish and make further profit.

Rinse and Repeat.

As others have said, Forest under the current owner are a very high volume club. In 2022 they made 21 signings in a single transfer window.

Unusual, but post reads like Swansea have form doing it arse about face.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Fans generally seem pretty chuffed about it, with plenty of comments from coventry fans still disappointed they didn't get marko over the line 12 months ago.

Fingers crossed he can settle in and be a regular in the championship for them

3 young Kiwis (who should be) starting for Championship clubs. We're heading in the right direction. World cup next year will be a little early, but 2030 could be very special

Yipe I agree I think the 2030 WC is more likely to be the sweet spot of this almost 'Golden Generation' by NZ standards. Most of the squad will be mid-late 20s by then, so at or near peak age. May even be 3-4 (or more) in top five tier leagues by 2030.

The Woodsman could also still playing at a reasonable level, ie ALM or League One. He's said he wants to keep playing til then, and he does keep himself in better physical nick than ever these days.

3 Kiwis in Wales for JJ to watch live. Just none at Cardiff.

Very excited by this move. Seems he’s gonna be a banged on starter if all goes well this year.

First time really he will get consistent starts in his time as a professional. Can’t really remember a time he’s had a period of just starts throughout a season at FCK & Red Star he was in and out.

22 Aug 03:05
Yep, if he can actually play a whole season at championship level, it will be the best thing for him.

Still young enough as well to thereafter make the step up to a lower premiership team if he impresses.

That last part hurts, mate 😂 can't believe there's Kiwis at Wrexham, Swansea and Newport all at the same time and not one Bluebird from NZ. Won't even get to see any of them either, best I'll get is a Ben Waine cameo later in the season (we've already played the Posh at home before Garbett joined).

Nah great to see it though, Bloody exciting. I'll forget all about Stamenic joining the Jack bastards when he pulls the fern back on.

Curious how stamenic fits into this Swansea side. Sounds like they’re seriously stacked already there 🤔
23 Aug 02:33
Nope he’s in the squad! Swansea announced his visa approval came through in time. Expect some bench minutes for sure.

On at 53 mins with Swansea down 0-1.
Nestory Irankunda the goal for Watford.

Edit - finished 1-1. Socceroo Burgess a full game for the Swans
24 Aug 11:48
Match highlights. Irankunda with a great free kick goal.
Wonder if he makes the Socceroos for Sept.

Marko's first involvement is a foul, I think of Irankunda??
After Stamenic makes a lovely pass on the counter, that almost leads to a goal.

I subscribe (free) to the EPL on Youtube, I saw long highlights of his game v Watford. I think they do highlights for most/all Championship and Ibthink I may of seen a Port Vale game there too at one point.

Ball through to Ronald was absolutely quality, striker should’ve done better as he hesitated when the keeper came he would’ve easily beaten the keeper to it.

Stamenic showing a lot of promise early. The bottom half of EPL sides will definitely be keeping tabs on him.

Yeah, It's frustrating that beIn are the official rights holders for Championship and all EFL games but only broadcast a small number each round.
Until this week I was able to watch all of my club Charlton Athletic's home games for free in full delayed on the club's website  - Sunday am NZT matches usually were up there late Monday morning.
However, I found this week that they're no longer doing that.
Maybe the EFL and other clubs objected.

Foul on Irankunda?  If so they might be meeting up again in a few weeks.
Nestory scored a cracker of free kick earlier in this game for Watford

In the starting line up, game on bein kick off at 6.45am.

Marko with an assist! Basically did all the work for that goal, put it on a plate for Vipotnik to tap it in from, ahh... About 30 yards.

Still, a stat is a stat! And it was a decent pass to be fair

Off at the hour mark along with Aussie Burgess.

Was again very good in the middle playing as a lone 6. Great distribution and controlled tempo really well for the swans.

Depth is a concern for them right now. Watching some of his teammates tonight they’re very average and it seems Burgess, Marko and Galbraith are probably their 3 best players.

I assume Marko will start vs Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday morning given he was subbed at the hour mark. Swans fans absolutely adore him already!

He definitely played well, watching him play in that role that Bell does for the All Whites made me think Bell would definitely do well in the championship

Are you sure? He's a better player then Bell. I'd like to see Bell in the UK but feel that him and Rufer are well behind Marko now.

Bell was the best AWs player in the June window. Very impressive. He has had a great season with Viking in Norway, who are right in contention for a rare league title.

Joe B for sure will be on the radar of a few Championship clubs. Some may have already enquired with his agent, but maybe Bell has just said wait until the January window. I want to concentrate on trying to win a league title.

Swansea get Nottingham Forest in the league cup. The Stamenic grudge match!
