The way CCM are playing it, it seems they're following the David Sullivan/Ralph Gold school of economics. I once worked for them. Squeeze the opposition til they give up/go under would've been a good company motto. Btw are you paying the 75 quid they're asking to watch Hammers v Spurs this weekend?

I used to kind of like CCM and back them in games the Nix weren't playing. Those days are gone.

They are just doing what any professional outfit should do - why should they make it easier for one of their competitors?

What goes around comes around. They'll get theirs sooner or later.

Really?  If the situation was reversed, do you think we would have walked away from the situation immediately?

Actually with us, we probably would have.

Pure speculation, we would need players that other teams want.

Wiki has him in the Nix and not CCM.

Doesn't mean I would have them as a second team, as good a reason as any to support someone playing against them I reckon. That will probably change as soon as they are playing Sydney...

Wee Mac played for NZ A today, apparently. Isn't that a good sign, or at least a sign of some kind?

that really goes to show that CCM are just being pricks.

I get kicking up a fuss if he turned out for the nix. But having a whinge (and probably not letting him) about him turning out for NZA is just crap.

Funny, looking at this twitter cover photo, I would have sworn that he was a WSW supporter.

Not a FIFA window so they don't have to release him TBF.  If he is their player then I can understand why they wouldn't want him to play in that game which is basically an intra-squad Phoenix game, it's not really got anything to do with New Zealand - no other A-League players were called up for it.

Last article I saw said that Mariners don't want to release him without compensation, which says to me he's coming here it's just sorting some things out.  It wouldn't have taken this long unless there was some kind of issue for the FFA with the precedent of this decision.

It's just outrageous that it's taking this long though.  This should have been decided in 7 days, it's not fair on anyone involved.

Maybe they are trying the Shortland Street approach. Make it into some long and winding pathetic storyline and make it last over ten years?

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Loan him out to a Guatemalan club?

Yes but being as he's not playing at all, it'd be beneficial to let him play for NZA so he can at least get some game time.

Wouldn't it be the team he is on loan to that would have to approve the release?

Think McGlinchey should take them to court and sue for lost earnings and opportunities. A pre-season game is a good way to get yourself noticed outside the A league.

The loan has been cancelled.

Not according to CCM? They are not paying him are they?

He will be getting paid from the Phoenix. In their opinion, they have a valid contract so will be paying him. At the very least, I would be saying to CCM 'Well you are not paying me so.......' (being as it is that the loan is cancelled)

If this is the case (Nix paying his wages) it will be very interesting if FFA rule in CCMs favour. Will the Nix try to get CCM to repay them the wages they've paid? And will CCM pay him for the rest of the year (considering in all of their stuff they've stuck to "we'll have him back on Jaunary 1").

I am sure weemac has a letter from CCM saying "could you please return to duties in accordance with your contract with us.  as soon as you have reported for duty contract payments will be resumed".

They have constantly been saying that WeeMac will return on January 1st, which is when his loan was supposed to end.
