Dyer has played 8 games (from possible 11), and scored twice. And yes he's been red carded twice as well, as mentioned above.

Seems to be having a decent season in the Norwegian lower leagues - 3 goals in the league and a couple in the NM Cupen, to go with a couple of red cards as well...
Standard of competition aside, it's not a bad return in 11 games. If he keeps up his form I'd hope he'd at least get an opportunity to move on to a bigger club/league, or maybe even look to push on for promotion with his current club who are currently sitting 5 points off a promotion play off place.

The drift to mid table for Florø became permanent.
Season finishes next weekend, and they lie 8th in the 2nd Division Group Two. Safe from relegation, but also no chance of promotion.

Think it was initially a one year deal with Florø, so apart from a summer break in NZ, who knows what next.

Definitely a step up and a good step in the right direction for the lad.
Salary cap for Canadian Premier League sits at around $1 million (CAD) a season per club, possibly a bit more too, as I'm struggling to find an accurate figure, as it's something that's never been made public.
It's a competition that's one season old and as such, really hard to judge too much on quality having never seen a game from over there. But my money is on it being a step or two above the handy, in both terms of money on the table, facilities, and coverage. Would imagine it would only get stronger too over the coming years.
Could also be a good option for all the NZer's who are stateside, finishing university, and who may be unlikely to secure a gig at MLS or USL level. Could see a few of these young Kiwi's looking North of the border over the coming years to secure a footballing future. Just my thoughts of course, but i'm sure I wouldn't be the only one who see's it like this...

I can only think of one, Dylan Sacramemto midfielder scored 3 goals in 8 games. Left to Galway united in ireland around the same time HB stopped getting results. Who else was there?

As others have said, wasn't his fault Huddo chucked him in so young.
At age 18, he was thrust into a New Zealand camp as an emergency call-up, and made his international debut in 2015.
Dyer was, and this is his quote, “really bad” during that first stint.
“Before this, I had only ever played in the National League in New Zealand, which is as professional as that level can be,” Dyer began. “I had never experienced such a top-level environment. I was in shock the whole time, even at the hotel when I got there.
“The coach somehow believed I wouldn’t get swooped up in it all. He knew I wouldn’t feel pressure training with some of these players, like Chris Wood. I didn’t feel the pressure… but I was so bad.
“The last training session went really well and I thought, ‘alright, at least I can take this.'”
The last thing Dyer expected was to be called in with 15 minutes to go in the match vs. South Korea.
“He calls me from the bench and my jaw drops. I almost replied, ‘but I had a s–t week.’ I got about 15 minutes, which was pretty good. I did relatively well,” Dyer said before pausing, only to recount “the” moment when he was nutmegged by ex-Swansea City, Sunderland, and Newcastle United midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.
“He put his foot on the ball and just rolls it through my legs so nonchalantly,” Dyer recalled.
“It was the way he ‘megged. He put his foot on the ball and waited about two seconds for me to run toward him. That’s all anyone wanted to talk about… me getting nutmegged. I was just this young guy trying so hard… and I got embarrassed on my debut.”

The Canadian Premier League clubs have returned to training, but there is no date set for when Canada’s league will begin play.
See that citizens from Canada (assume same applies to those resident in Canada) are part of the 15 countries allowed into Europe at the moment.
Of course that could quickly change, but given such shallow playing pool Hay will likely get to choose from if that Belgium game goes ahead, might see Dyer picked.
No safer place to hold your version of a 'football hub', than a small Island I guess.
The Canadian Premier League announced Wednesday it will hold a shortened 2020 season in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island beginning August 13.
Dyer hasn't played a competitive football game since October 2019 in Norway.
And yipe checked out that Canada (along with NZ & Aus) is still on the magic list of countries (now down to 13), who's citizens/resident can enter the EU. He probably wouldn't care at all if he had to quarantine back upon return to Canada, if called up by Hay. Should work in okay with the end of this short 2020 Canadian club summer season thing.
