Starting for Valour FC against Atlético Ottawa in the Canadian football hub.

As a AM?

Kind of guy that possibly comes into mix for the Nix season 2020/2021, depending on what happens to the existing player group. Cue widespread hernias, nostril flaring.

Canadian season done and dusted by next month. No idea how long he signed with Valour for earlier this year. Might make Hay's AWs squad for Belgium if the game happens, and he can enter the EU.

67 mins in a 4-0 win.

Valour up 1-0 when he came off, having just taken the lead with a pen, with an Atlético Ottawa player sent off.

Valour with 2 late goals, post the 90 mins.

Quasi Kiwi, Ben McKendry in the Ottawa team. The world is small.

22 Aug 19:18

Subbed at 58 mins in a 0-0 draw with York9 (4th)

Valour 3rd

26 Aug 02:44

Unused sub in a 2-0 loss to Pacific (3rd).

Valour 4th.

29 Aug 18:31

Comes on in 83rd minute in a 2-1 win over Edmonton (8th & last).

Score 1-1 when subbed on.

Valour up to 3rd.

02 Sep 19:30

Subbed on at 59 mins in a 0-2 loss to HFX Wanderers (4th).

Same score when Dyer came on.

Valour 6th of eight teams.

Looks like they need to win their final game against top of the table Forge, and hope some other results go their way to make the semi finals.

05 Sep 18:55

Scores 2nd goal for Valour in a 2-2 draw verus top of the table Forge.

Full game.

Valour 5th at the moment, after completion of their round robin games (other teams could still overtake them further), and miss out on the semis.

What next for Dyer? Will still be fresh. Only played about 4-6 full games in 2020. 2021 Canadian season I'm guessing is probably 6 mths away, if Valour want him back. Need that Winnipeg snow to melt away.

Eastern Suburbs in Handy Prem?  Lower level gig in Europe?  Has Hay been in touch re possible callup?

From this week's Flying Kiwis. A few months now in a Scandi lower league?

"Valour had injuries along the way and there’s zero margin for error in a seven-game season anyway... now it’s four months before the next season which it sounds like means Moses might be looking for a plane ticket back to Europe for a new club in the meantime.

Moses Dyer: “Some teams gel earlier and sooner than others. You can see that our team our team is really together and we’re building on something for next year, something special... Here in Canada having four months off is way too long. It’s so disappointing that it’s finished now but I can’t do anything about it so I have to look for something.”

Up Next: Dunno"

His headed goal from last Valour game is at about 1.40 in the video.

Great donuts/pastries though! When you're in -25 C you'll drink anything to warm you up!

League is starting with a 8 round Hub in Winnipeg, before then moving into a home & away season of two regional Conferences (uneven draw).

Dyer from what I can see was actually eligible for Tokyo selection. Eligibility cut off date being 01/01/1997. His DOB 21/03/1997.

I didn’t really drink coffee, until I got some for free in a mild -6 or so and it was a life changing experience.

First 8 games for Valour are over the course of 4 weeks, so one would assume there will be plenty of rotation of the squad over that time to avoid injuries and the like.

Seems like a good level for the lad over there, and from reading through a bit about the league in general and from those at his club too, he is a well respected fella. Hopefully kicks on and has a good season. Not a rich league ($650k - $850k CAD$ salary cap for players) by any means, but a good stepping stone, in a progressive league. Perhaps a few more of our aspiring pro footballers from back here could look to Canada in order to get a pro gig too.

Exactly what ex-Waitak and Teedubs youngster Ollie Bassett did - scored and got MOTM on his debut with Pacific FC yesterday. You’re right, it’s shaping up to be a really promising pathway

I actually made Tim Hortons my go to place whenever in New England. Good diverse menu for all times of the day. Coffee as good as any of the rubbish served elsewhere in North America lol

Loved the food at Tim Horton's. Spent 6 months between Canada and the USA in 2013-14 including some long housebsitting stints in the cold Canadian winter. TH was the highlight of my day sometimes

Subbed off at 68 mins (score 1-0) in a 2-0 win over HFX Wanderers.
Been pretty toasty warm in Canada lately. Some town in British Colombia hitting over 49 degrees Celsius!

Subbed on at 81 mins (score 1-0) in a 2-0 win over Atlético Ottawa (4th).

Dyer with the 2nd goal, a pen. Obviously the designated pen taker when he's on the field - his 2nd this season. Canuck-Kiwi Ben McKendry in the Atlético Ottawa team.

Valour top of the table.

Valour top of the table.

Hopefully just a bit of early season rotation going on, with a heavy schedule still to come in the next 2-3 weeks. Good to see him doing well and scoring goals, even if they are from the penalty spot.

Good start to the season for Valour too, making the most of playing at home in Winnipeg - six scored and none conceded, with five more matches left in the bubble. Promising signs ahead.

08 Jul 11:00
70 mins in a 2-1 loss to York United (4th). Same score when Dyer came off.
Valour stay top.

12 Jul 02:34
Subbed off at 75 mins (score 1-0) in a 1-0 win over Forge (4th).
Valour 1st.

16 Jul 01:00
Dyer the pen specialist. Another from the spot, and Valour's only goal in a 1-0 win over Atlético Ottawa (6th).

Dyer subbed on at 65 mins, and scored the pen (his 3rd for the season) at 84 mins. As he scored in the final game of last season (from open play), he actually has 4 goals in his last 7 competitive matches for Valour.

They stay top.

Love seeing his Instagram stories from Valour! Are they expected to be a title contender?

I watched the highlights, and the commentator for the pre match part of them said they were a surprise package thus far, and that they were expected to struggle this season.

What is probably helping their cause a little bit too is the fact the 'cpl hub' is based in Manitoba for the first 8 games of the season. So they're really making the most of their home ground advantage so far. Good to see Dyer in the mix, can understand, the rotation too with games being back to back to back for this first month of the season.
19 Jul 02:54
Subbed off at 76 mins (score 3-0), in a 3-0 win over York United (6th).
Credited with the assist for the 3rd goal.
Valour remain top (6 pts clear)
24 Jul 23:08
Subbed off at HT in a 0-1 loss to HFX Wanderers (6th).
Valour still top of the table.
01 Aug 03:56
Valour with another loss, with a 3-1 loss at Edmonton (5th). Looks like the Winnipeg hub is over, and now a proper H&A season. Valour still hold onto top spot by a point.

Dyer subbed off at 62 mins (score 2-0).

05 Aug 03:35
Now that home advantage has ended with the Winnipeg hub finishing, it's unravelling a bit for Valour (2nd), with 3 consecutive losses. A 2-1 loss away to Pacific (1st) in Victoria, Vancouver Island.

Dyer subbed on at 67 mins (score 1-1). Pacific had their goalie sent off at 76 mins.

Two teams swap ladder positions.
08 Aug 23:29
Valour's (3rd) bad road form continues with a 1-0 loss at Cavalry (2nd) in Calgary.
Dyer subbed on at 60 mins at 1-0.

Subbed off at 75 mins with a yellow in a 0-0 draw at Edmonton (6th).

Valour (3rd) with 4 L & 1 D from 5 games on the road.

17 Aug 04:37
Not in match day squad, as Valour (3rd) lose 0-2 to 1st placed Pacific, from Victoria, BC.

Valour without a win in 6 games. Dyer a shock Nix signing? Cue the angst.

genuinely wouldn't mind that lol. he'd certainly fit more into the wide AM roles at this point in his career

Back in the side and contributes an assist for Valour's third goal as they see off Atlético Ottawa 3-2 in the Preliminary round of the Canadian Championship. Full 90 for Dyer, and Valour back in the winners circle for the first time since July 19th in the Canadian Premier League.

Valour progress to the next round against Forge on September 15th. Unfortunately for Valour they didn't get the dream tie against MLS sides Montreal or Toronto. Vancouver play their Preliminary round match next Friday, so assume they'll be in there as well.

Valour 4th, with only 1 win in their last 10 games (1 D & 8 L).
