Alan Nixon is a very good source, so there's definitely something in this.

Blackburn making a play for a Kiwi centre-back - The last one didn't turn out too shabby did he? 😏

RR will be happy. Rovers currently 9th in The Championship, 4 points off the playoff spots.

NZ-USA-Ewood Park has yes worked out well before.

Don’t mind Blackburn. Always had a soft spot since a kiwi played there

Hope it goes through, as it would be great to have a kiwi one step closer to the Prem

I think there will be a PREM side or two who will get involved and look to drop him into the Championship to play on loan.

Full game Bindon in a 2-2 draw. Reading up to 7th (one position outside the playoff spots).

Unless Blackburn or whoever offer him an almost guaranteed starter's spot, he might be better to see out the season with Reading, whilst they remain a promotion chance to The Championship.

Possibly as he will also be a free agent at the end of the year and will become even more desirable.

Reading however are up shark creek financially and ownership wise, so unless they can sort out that before the end of Jan, you would think they would want to get some bit of coin for him as I can’t see him signing a new contract

Probably true, though if Reading could get promoted (outside bet), that would be a useful financial boost.

The Royals are 7th, 11pts off Wycombe (1st) & 7 pts off Wrexham (2nd). Top 2 teams automatically promoted.

As of the
2022/23 season, on a per-club basis, each Championship side receives £5.19 million in solidarity money from the Premier League, while each League One team gets £780,000 and League Two sides receive £520,000 apiece.

Bindon at CB as Reading win 3-0.
This win will likely take them into playoff spots

Royals a very young team performing remarkably well given the restrictions they are currently under.

Plot twist for Reading - Manager Ruben Selles is on his way to Championship side Hull City.

It takes a pretty decent manager to get the most out of a young squad. Big shoes to fill at Reading when he goes. Can whoever steps up manage the same level of output? Interesting times ahead.

You do have to wonder if this might also be a catalyst for a move higher up the footballing pyramid for Bindon as well - Probably sooner (January) rather than later now you'd think. Selles might also fancy a January raid of the family jewels so to speak, at his soon to be former club. 👀

Full game in a 1-1 draw.
Gaffer Selles is gone to Hull.

A Bindon move in the Jan window, not unlikely you'd think.

He definitely has the quality and ability to play at a higher level but my concern is he goes up or to a new team and then is just a back up…… much like Surman has become

Bindon rested as Reading get knocked out on pens. 1-1 at end of NT.

Reading with keeper sent off at 58 mins & outfielder at 75 mins, finish game with 9 men.

Bindon full game in a 0-3 loss to Blackpool. The loss of their rated coach affecting Reading?

Understand the reading gaffer has just moved to hull, so no doubt he would like him but bottom of the league isn’t that attractive and could turn toxic. Would also be a bummer to end up in the same league again next season.

Watford just outside the play offs and the former rumour of Blackburn, who are within the play off spots looks more attractive.

Nominated as a finalist in the halbergs young athletes division

Tyler Bindon (football),
Cormac Buchanan (motorcycling-road),
Luke Harrold (snow sports),
Ethan Olivier (athletics),
Levi Townley (motorcycling-motocross),
Erice Van Leuven (cycling-mountain bike)

Haven't heard of any of the others, although not in sports I follow, so imagine he's a decent shout.

Chris Wood nominated for sportsman of the year, but against 2 Olympic gold medalists and a silver medalist I can't see him winning it.

Yip plus both mentioned towns are a bit sh*t.

Reading's a far nicer place and miles easier LHR commute to play for the AWs. Watford likewise a nice place to be. Easily the best side of those mentioned so far and only 40 mins from Reading on a good day on the M4 and M25.

Bindon and Tzanev both start

No MD-D

Edit - Reading win 4-1. Full game Bindon.
Tzanev has conceded 12 goals in his last 3 League One games with Northampton, plus another 3 in a EFL Trophy match.

A few of my colleagues at work live in Reading and are huge fans. They are shark scared of losing him even though the club needs the money.

Honestly, wherever he goes, I just hope he keeps playing week in week out. Interestingly though, there was an article that came out where he said to a local Reading newspaper that there have been no talks between him and any other clubs at this stage, although he does admit that any move is 'out of his hands' - Essentially code for 'if someone puts money on the table, Reading will take it'

Has there ever been a Kiwi who's gone to England and made such immediate impact? He's taken to a challenging level of football like a duck to water. Great career ahead for the lad, regardless of where he ends up.

Nelsen. Appointed captain of an EPL club within a very short time of arrival

But yeah ain’t we so so lucky to have Bindon. Could very easily have been lost to the USA
