Looks like it’s going to be another long hard slog for Reading this year.
Auckland will rise once more

"It's nothing short of a disgrace. It's carnage!" 😡

Another collapsed takeover bid. Dai Yongge will run that club in to the ground...
Another Kiwi League One derby. Reading (15th) host Burton Albion (22nd/3rd last)

Bragging rights Bindon as Reading win 3-1.

Player rating for the Exeter game, from the Reading fan site: The Tilehurst End
So so calm on the ball in the first half, helping Reading to pass out with seeming ease but make no mistake: what he does isn’t easy. Bindon always knows where he’s going next with the ball before it arrives, and is just as comfortable playing first time, or just putting his studs on it and baiting in a presser.

If a despairing attacker did get close enough to Bindon to block his opinions, he’d calmly play the ball over the top in the first half, connecting on 6 long balls.
Lost one duel all day, and cleared the ball out seven times as the players in front of him allowed the ball to come into his defence at pace.
Surely he's gone in the January transfer window. Destined for bigger things.
Maybe but Reading are also now showing some form and promotion is not off the table
Could all depend on their ownership and cash situation
Reading (7th) host Bristol Rovers (15th)

Reading (6th) travel to Stockport County (12th)
Good start to the season for Reading after battling relegation last season.
I would assume Bindon is a large part of their success.
Hopefully a couple of championship clubs will be in for him come Jan

Who knows by January, Reading may themselves be genuine contenders for promotion to The Championship.
Considering the off the field ownership dramas, they are doing very well to be 6th. They win at Sockport tonight and they'll go 4th, overtaking Waine's Mansfield Town.
If the hugely unpopular Dai Yongge does eventually sell - and you feel he has to at some point - then yeah a return to The Championship becomes an even stronger prospect for Reading.

Maybe Reading ain’t really promotion contenders. Get spanked 4-1 at Stockport and drop to 9th

Great to see him playing well but surely playing week in week out in L1 is a better shout at this stage in his career than hoping for a move and potentially not being a starter
Niche Cache.
Aside from the game where Bindon was subbed for concussion protocols, he’s played every minute for the Royals in League One this season. Absolute class from a 19 year old centre-back... who could be in for an interesting few months because Reading still haven’t been able to clear a sale of the club which means they remain under a transfer embargo with limited finances. Last January they had to sell a couple of key players in order to fund the rest of the campaign. Well, Tyler Bindon would be very high on the list of Reading’s most wanted if other clubs are seeking to take advantage of this financial slipperiness.

Yeh- why I’ve been shocked at how few minutes Waine is getting. We need our players playing and getting everything in their game on an instinctive level. And giving them some confidence.
But I guess the European game at every level is super competitive. You get a chance you have to take it with both hands and not give it up.
Hopefully things will pick up as the season goes Kiwi wise! Singh and McCowatt back.
Waine's got 36 yr old Lee Gregory ahead of him. A vastly experienced striker who's played for 10 years in League One & The Championship. Gregory with 7 goals in 11 games this season, as Mansfield currently over achieving in 4th spot.
Much as we all love Waineo, and he has a great work rate, he as yet isn't scoring that many goals for the mins he's getting in the UK. Until he does offer more goals wise as a striker, he yeah will be mostly on the pine. But he's still young, time on his side, and he's got a good coach at MT in Clough. Mansfield look a good fit for Waine this season. I mean at 26 Gregory as an example was a non league player still.

I guess the other thing is that this is normal for a career to bounce around a bit until a player finds a fit and matures. Rufer has had something similar in that it took him a long time to reach a decent level and get accepted at the Phoenix.
With Libby, Sarpreet, AP and Ben Old we’re just used to players hopping into the starting team of a higher league or a squad of the highest. But these are exceptional career trajectories we’ve become used to!
Waine is a good goal scorer, but needs to find a run of consistency in starts and finishes to get up that level.

Bindon with Reading's first goal in a 2-0 win.
But bit of a worry he came off early at 63 mins (1-0). Hopefully nothing serious.

Only a matter of time before he gets picked up by a bigger club... he is in an over performing team, is scoring goals from CB. Is verstaile enough to cover a RB as well, clearly has leadership potential and is still only 19, so his ceiling is still miles away from where he is at now...
and by all accounts is a nice kid as well, which might not matter to some coaches, but will to others where player dynamics are seen as keys to success.

Yipe I'd say the Kiwi most likely to next debut in the EPL, even if Paulsen, Stamenic and Gray are currently signed with Premier League clubs.
We might finally get a kiwi in the next crop of the next 50 wonderkids.
I'm also expecting big things of him in the next FM incarnation.
