1. ANDREW ARIS: a former NZ U-20 international & North Shore National League player, and one of our longest-serving overseas players (Notre Dame University, USA 1996-2000 & lower German leagues: Rot-Weiss Erfurt 2000- 2007) has been attracting some international attention with the football project he's been heading called"The Spirit of Football": his organization is celebrating the global game and  it's origins and trying to help Africa out. They've been kicking a football from London to South Africa. Arrived safely for the Opening Ceremony...

Daniel Gebreezgiher

According to Wikipedia, he signed 2 year contract with Wellington Phoenix in 2009, and that he scored 18 goals in 24 A League Reserve games. Then,  handed a transfer request and on July 11, 2011 and signed  a 3-year contract with Melbourne Victory.
Though the Melbourne Victory may be true (doubtful) I dont believe this story for a second, given that there were lots of rumours before about him not being at Leeds. Also, his stats on wikipedia seem a bit fanciful.
2008-2009- NZ U-20 -  15 appearances  and 11 goals.

2007-2010 Wellington Phoenix-  34 Appearances and 28 Goals.

If any reporters out there were keen on a good story/scandal, I would chase this up lol.

Maybe he changed his mind because he is in India right now
Coach Sen stated that he is short of options upfront at the moment as Yusif Yakubu has still not arrived in Kolkata because of visa issues while the clubs fourth foreigner Kayne Vincent joined training only three days ago.

Further afield, Kayne Vincent was in the news for his new side Prayag United in the Indian I-League. His free-kick created the only goal in a 1-0 win over Chirag United Kerala.
