Yeah, one of the greatest Super Bowl of all time, good thing. If you're clearly not interested, why even come into the thread and comment?

One of the greatest of all time? You have not been around that long, how would you know?

There are records of games. Don't have to of seen them all live to get such an opinion. I've also been around for 25 of those 47 games, so can safely rank it in the top half, by your logic.

But for some of those 25 years you were in nappies, most of the rest you were at school and a few years in the real world. Good stuff.

Doesn't mean I haven't seen archive footage. Or read about various Super Bowls. I didn't see all of the game today, but having seen highlights and read all about it, as well as heard different things from mates, I know it was bloody good and exciting.

In comparison, you confess to not have seen any of it, and you feel like you can comment. But I'm not allowed to comment and compare to other Super Bowls? Interesting.

Watching the draft now. Lions ftw.

26 Apr 01:15

Some interesting selections, the Dolphins traded up in a nice deal before strangely taking Dion Jordan, Fisher wasn't really pencilled in as a number one pick either. And now the Rams craftily get the Bills scared and nab Austin, a risk worth taking I think.

26 Apr 01:39

Yup, Rams will be happy. They've done well there, I reckon.

I think they got the man they wanted, but I think they have overpaid for him, and probably could've got him at their own pick.

In saying that as much as I am hugely impressed with Speilman and out first round draft, I think we overpaid a bit for Patterson, but we wouldn't have got him in the second round. Have to say I was absolutely pumped yesterday when Speilman bolted from the press conference introducing Floyd & Rhodes to go get another pick, I wasn't even sure if it was Teo or Patterson, but knew either of them filled a hole in our team. Patterson may be raw, but he has the skills and hopefully will develop. As for our two defensive picks, just soo much YES on that.

Lots of OLine picks, which is not much of a surprise a horrid OLine season last year from sooo many teams.

26 Apr 22:33

Surprised, a little disappointed, that we took a Safety with out pick, when we clearly need significant pass-rushing help. Also Harper's contract got recently extended, so don't really get the move.

Vikings were huge winners yesterday, three great picks. Hopefully you lot will come 2nd in NFC North (behind Detroit).

Only the Lions could've gone for Ansah. Fantastic athlete, but.... He's only been playing American football for three years, and he wears 3D glasses. We'll see though, could be inspired. At least we are getting a CB in Slay, our secondary has needed help big time. And a little protection for Staff isn't going to go amiss! Quietly pleased with our business for the most part so far, but it is Detroit, we will no doubt find a way to fuck it up.

27 Apr 06:26

Are you a Saints fan El Grap? How you thinking you'll go this year?

27 Apr 13:02

Yeah. With Brees around, we're always a chance of doing well, but we have a few issues. We'll have to go with an unproven LT, the WR corps isn't as deep as it used to be, and the Defence needs significant help. We're switching to 3-4 next season under Rob Ryan, and re-signed Vilma and Smith, neither of whom really fir into that scheme. We have no NT, and a bunch of inexperienced pass ushers who have never played 3-4 in professional football before.

And with all that, we draft a safety with no. 15 overall pick? He'd better be new Rodney Harrison or John Lynch.

Yeah what was with the 3D glasses? Hilarious! Slay looks good, secondary help is especially needed in our division.1
And the Vikings got a linebacker at #120, nice to see him drop to us as well, looks like he could develop well.
27 Apr 22:42

So far the only offensive "skill" player that my Ravens have taken is a Polish-sounding fullback from Harvard, but Ozzie said he really wanted guys like Brown and Williams, and you can't argue with his track record. However, I'd still like another receiever at some point before the season starts again.

05 Sep 23:14

New season kicks off today. Falcons to win the Super Bowl.

06 Sep 00:04

Bears or Bengals. Coolest teams.

I like tautologies because I like them.
06 Sep 04:33

Atlanta' defence is too poor these days, I'm not even sure they make the playoffs (big call). NFC South is definitely the toughest division this year.

Broncos showing why they are the early favourites :-(

06 Sep 22:13

Sommet announced they are trying to get live NFL.

Wont have it for opening round though!

gone off Bears cos Jay Cutler is a dick. So I'm a one-team man now - Go Bengals, you with the funky orange and rad helmets

I like tautologies because I like them.
10 Sep 05:46

timing is so shit here - I can come home at lunch times and watch an hour of a game, but I am really missing the back to back live games on a Sunday night in the UK.  Lying on the couch from 6pm to midnight watching NFL (and RedZone) is brilliant.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite

29 Nov 04:55

Fair to say I enjoyed that Ravens win quite a bit, pretty phenomenal ending to one of the best rivalries in sport.

30 Nov 18:06

Monday 7am - 5pm is the worst :-(

Before daylight savings the 5am-3pm schedule meant I saw 2hrs before I left for work in the morning. Now nothing :-(

01 Dec 01:23

Yep. I usually watch the Saints replay on Monday evenings, but since I can't resist the temptation to check the progress of games live, it's not quite the same as watching live.

04 Dec 00:58

As a lazy non-worker I enjoy being able to get up at around 8.20 or so and watch the second halves of all the morning encounters, and then follow it throughout the day before going to a mates to watch the late 2.30 game. Of course, it becomes an annoying experience if fantasy/bets/Ravens all lose.

Did you get to watch the Saints game yesterday El Grap? Some big games coming up against the Panthers now for seeding (Seems like nobody will beat the Seahawks at home).

04 Dec 08:42

I'd planned to take a half day off to watch the game, but had too much work so couldn't. Lucky that.

Big game next week, but expect to take care of the Panthers at home.

08 Dec 23:33

Well, this has probably been the craziest NFL morning of all time.

09 Dec 23:51

Yeah that was ridiculous. Made even more insane by out Fantasy Match-up....Everything soooo insane...

As for Fantasy, You finish Regular season with 2nd most points, but 5th on tiebreak, I have 3rd most points (~1-2 per Week less than you) and end the season 10th meaning we meet in the consolation bracket, and in the first week we both put up over 160pts...Best losing score in 5 years of the league is 148, and before this week in 130 attempts 160pts has only been broken 6 times this year...164.1-162.2 (I have Murray to go) for Week 1 of a match-up NOT in the playoffs, are you kidding me?

Also makes it fitting that your Ravens & my vikings played such a stupid (Crazy) game (well Last 2mins) yesterday as well.
