By the way, I still can't understand why the 2nd largest city (population) in the US, Los Angeles, doesn't have a team in the NFL.  They haven't one since the Rams moved to St. Louis & the Raider moved back to Oakland back in the mid 90's.  I would've thought that it would bring lots of money to whoever sets up a team there.

Like Matt said, LA folks just didn't bother turning up. Not convinced that they would now, either. I reckon at least 2 of the 3 teams saying they're looking at going to LA are just doing to get better stadium deals from their current cities.

Yup, is same with Lakers & Kings, crouds really drop off when they aren't performing.

Think Raiders really need to move, they can't get a new stadium. Chargers or rams will probably move too, both are struggling with current cities, think SD actually more likely to move even though Rams owner has property for the Stadium as St Louis is close to a new stadium already.

Following the Skins, it's going to be a long decade with the gamble they made for RG3. Didn't pay off and they lost all those first round picks.

I'm glad the Bengals are doing well.

I like tautologies because I like them.

Washington with the win! Didn't predict that when down 24-7 at half time. Cousins will be our QB and it'll be good bye RG3 for sure.

Starting to resemble an NFL team again. Two home games up next, win those and we'll be back in the mix.

So what a day for my Vikings...

No matter the result against Raiders we will lead the NFC North (Hold Div tiebreak over Packers 3-0 vs 1-1)

And if the Vikings & Cardinals get the same result today (Win or Loss), then the Vikings will be 2nd in the NFC as they hold Strength of Victory tiebreak over the Cardinals (Oak & Sea have same record so wouldn't change SoV)

I'm glad the Skins have given up their QB experiment and hopefully will now just stay with Cousins. Was his dad's first game back (first this season) after cancer treatment and what a game to watch 20-25 for 324 yards and 4 touchdowns. (Which I had started him in fantasy)

Cousins is probably the right guy, Reed is a good TE, and I see the RB was back to an even split again...guess Morris will be gone end of the season. WRs make me question everything...

Is Peyton the first player in NFL History to break a career record and be benched in the same game?

Overtook Farve as the all time passing yards leader (Needed 3yds today, went 5/20 for 35yds & 4 Int

Stat I created that I was disappointed no media picked up

When within 5yds of the passing record Peyton was 1/3 for 4yds & 2 Int

Turns out I had forgotten that Cardinals beating Seahawks took them to a 5-1 record in the NFC, meaning they hold that tiebreak over Vikes (4-1) due to having played more NFC teams so far...only other tiebreak that seperates is Strength of Victory, which Vikes hold due to having played more teams who have already had their bye.

Loving me some Playoffs football. Caught end of Bengals v Steelers game at backbencher before Nix game. What a way to blow a game with 30 yards of penalties to get them into field goal range.

Watching Vikings v Seahawks at moment in 3rd coldest game ever played in play offs.

Waiting on my Skins game to watch them beat the Packers.

watched the Vikings game with my mate from Minnesota. Before the missed 27 yard chip shot to win the game he said "he'll fudgeing miss - it is the Viking way". He then went into a deep depression.

I'd be in a very dark place too. It'd be Like the nix missing a winning injury time penalty, then the opposition counter attacking and we lose by scoring an own goal in the last kick of the game.

As he lined up the kick I covered my eyes, I didn't even want to watch it...

Accepted Blame for the Result:

1) Blair Walsh (Kicker) - It's not on him

2) Jeff Locke (Punter) - Not on him, it wasn't the only time he put laces towards kicker (In fact Walsh says he doesn't care unless over 50yds)

3) Adrian Peterson - He bloody FUMBLED! When we had a chance to wrap it up...(Yeah that one annyed me the most, he is supposed to put us on his back...)

So the Los Angeles Rams have returned...I wrote the below on another site giving my thoughts on the situation...

Lower Leagues Rule;10672886 wrote:
It's the right selection I would think, the most developed Stadium plan, and the owner who was clearly most committed to making LA work.

Past that the option for Chargers to move, with a year to make the decision (I assume that it really comes down to the vote by San Diego for funding, that plus $100m from NFL gets Spanos close to a SD stadium). I think we see a new stadium in San Diego.

So then that leaves the Raiders, I am really not sure what happens there, I don't think they will get approval in Oakland even with the additional help from the NFL, so I would bet on them moving to Los Angeles following the Chargers stadium being agreed to.

So, it appears American football is coming back to Wellington. I used to play and then referee it for a number of years ages back. Guy who used to play is trying to bring it back. I might pick up the whistle again.

It is an 11:30pm kick-off here in London. Got a table booked in an American bar-b-que place but actually organised myself to take Monday off work this year. The last few years here I haven't so you can imagine how productive I have been on the Monday after drinking to nearly 4am the night before.
