Good to see The Dutch offering some pro contracts this season. Hopefully, within say 10 years, they could become a stronger team in World Cricket.

As far as I know the Dutch have been offering pro contracts for years. Pringle was over there for a while, as was a guy from my old cricket club who went over there every winter.

Great stuff CD! When is the champions league that they'll be heading to? and do sky show coverage?

Think it's in October. Last year it was in October cause i remember one of Otago's games was the same night as the AWs away leg v Bahrain.

Sky will definitely show CDs games and probably have live coverage of other games when they can fit them in.

Thanks for that.  Actually I think I have a vague recollection of that myself now.

Fingers crossed for a nice day on Wednesday for Wellys ODer at the Basin against Northern Districts.  There is also a game on the 7th (Sunday) so those with 7's hangovers have a place to hang out!

and remembering that it is a top four ths year in the one dayers with 1v2, 3v4 then loser of first game playing winner of second game to play the winner of game 1 in the final.

One big positve of the top four for us is that with three games to go Otago still have a mathematical chance of reaching thier fourth one day final in a row.

Going to be a boring series against Bangladesh if tonight is anything to go by. Bahrain would do better if they had a cricket team

They would find a way of missing a penalty though...

McCullums wicket there was fantastic pressure from the Bangles - 3.1 overs with no runs of the bat created so much pressure he took on that suicidal run.

35/0 off 5 overs. Bet they can't sustain this, but if they do, we could have a good game on our hands !

Really coming at us now at 55/6. If they do really well they could get over 100. Are Vettori and McCullum acting like Aussies this game?

Can we have a semi decent team tour New Zealand for a change, and yes I know Aussie is coming.

Considering the last 2 seasons we have had great England and India tours with an awesome Aussie tour coming up I am willing to put up with the Bangers. Not sure it is giving McKay and Ingram the test they need to see if they are up to test standard.

Is it just me or has this Australian summer been ridiculously dull?

Three for me, and two for them.

Permalink Permalink

Agree Buffy, two pretty average sides over there in fairness. I think a full strength Windies team could have given them a run in the ODIs, as they did in the tests. If the Pakis had got up in Sydney (as they should have) then it could have been a different story aswell.

Can't wait to get the pricks over here! I really do despise them.

compared to the south african tour over there it has been very dull, but then most tours would seem dull compared to that. the test matches havnt been too bad, untill the pricks pulled something out and won, c**ts

i think we will give them a real good run over here, especially the odi's
