Nah, it will be accurate tonight, won't have the '5k boost' the Aussie cameras give anyone in an Aus shirt.

My predictions:

The T20s will be fun but unimportant, the ODIs will be close but rain affected, the Tests will last five days combined between the two.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'm loving NZC putting on the T20 womens games on as precursors to the mens. Great idea, gives the women some deserved coverage, and maybe a bit of a crowd may roll up for the 2nd half of the game before work before watching the mens match.

Upon shortly completing me employment responsibilities and obligations, I shall stroll down Molesworth Street until I should reach the Backbencher drinking establishment. Upon my arrival at said establishment, I shall partake in the consumption of a vessel filled with nice cooling ale (or three) prior to the commencement of the T20 match between New Zealand and the West Islanders.

Would also help if Billy didnt have the urge to kiss aussie butt every time he umpires them.

I've decided to ignore the Black Caps for a while. Following them just wasn't good for my health. It could all turn out good as I did the same thing with the AWs and look what happened there...

well you may have enquire of Taylor- what the f$% kind of a shot was he trying to play...Franklin (He of the 17 dot balls) is our top bat...sad day. I was picking Hopkins to be handy, but didn't quite kick on.

IMO Vettori should have bowled Nathan McCullum earlier while there were still runs to bowl at and left his overs for later...

If your team gets bowled out you don't blame the guy with the top score, no matter how many dot balls. At 50/4 in the 8th over, I thought McMillian was idiotic, talking about Franklin having to hit out or get out. What good is doing that and getting bowled out for 80 in the 12th over. At some point you have to lay a platform and he and Hopkins did that, which the Aussies then ripped out from us in the last few overs.

Didnt Franklin get 43 from 42 balls so dont think he can be blamed.Whatever you say about the shot Taylor played at the end of the day he got a completely crap decision.Dont understand just why they left it so late to bring Oram in,he normally like to settle in before giving it a crack.

There bowlers are just to quick for us, We have one fast bowler and they can just play him out.

Did not rate Hopkins wicketkeeping last night, Prefer McCullum any day.

Also bring back Scott Stryis and Lou Vincent.

Oh sorry about that.

somewhat disappointed with last night's game. all i really wanted was for aussie to bat first because 1) i was worried we weren't up to facing the aussie quicks - which we weren't and 2) we're a far better chasing side. no groundsman wants an average first innings total on their deck and the crowd + weather + nz/aus rivalry had the makings of a cracker game. flop.

the one thing i enjoyed as i walked around the boundary was hearing all the banter/abuse aimed at the aussies. even the youngins were at it. i love that sh*t. hope it continues for the rest of the series

Fuck this stupid game

Just gotta hope the ODI is a cracker, cause I reckon the test will be a bit of a mismatch.

I have no idea why Styris is not playing. Regular starter for his IPL side and heaps of experience.

Because the coach wanted to give some of the other players a go.

Actually hasn't been included in Deccans 23 man squad this year despite being contracted to them, but I completely agree he should be there ahead of Hopkins.

Oram should be batting 5 also, has always taken an over or two to get himself in which he doesn't get in T20 at the best of times let along batting at 7.
