It's still test cricket - the way to win: bowl them out for 12 in the first and 50 in the second innings, and win by an innings and 200 runs. Easy.

Only chance to win this is making them follow on. Which is remotely possible.

Or bowling them out for not many, declaring and then bowling them out for not many again.

Hmm, I remember a test (also against Bangladesh) where a day's play was lost and the follow-on mark then became 150 behind rather than 200. I was wondering if there's some regulation that says if you lose 1/2/3 days' play, that the follow marks get adjusted accordingly, so that the game at least has some sense.

I guess I could look this up, but I'm too lazy, and have to go soon anyway.

Yeah follow on mark is 162, gets reduced. Have never heard of the rule before but I guess it is a good one

I had no idea about this follow on rule either, I kept yelling at the TV that they had the graphic on the screen wrong. Apparently not. Have to do something pretty special to get the win in this one, but you never know.

For more on the mystery of follow-on. Robin emails with more explanation. Here you go: If no play takes place on the first day of a match of more than one day's duration, 1 shall apply in accordance with the number of days remaining from the actual start of the match. The day on which play first commences shall count as a whole day for this purpose, irrespective of the time at which play starts.

1. Lead on first innings
(a) In a two innings match of 5 days or more, the side which bats first and leads by at least 200 runs shall have the option of requiring the other side to follow their innings.
(b) The same option shall be available in two innings matches of shorter duration with the minimum required leads as follows:
(i) 150 runs in a match of 3 or 4 days;
(ii) 100 runs in a 2-day match;
(iii) 75 runs in a 1-day match.
