The easy way to get rid of money

haven't had a bet in a while, but I am back, ready to spunk away cash in tiny amounts.

Cannot bet on England to beat the land of Tom Jones, Duffy and....um....my dad.  On the other side of the coin, beating on Wales getting a result is as likely to turn me a profit as investing all my cash in cocaine and hookers.  I fancy Wales to throw loads of players forward in an attempt to score (when they are 4-0 down), so am putting 3 on both teams to score @ 2.75.

Everyone thinks that the only Welsh player with a chance of scoring is Gareth Bale, but he is currently living on last seasons CL performances - the last decent performance I saw from him was in the Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  Rambo "Aaron" Ramsey scored against Montenegro on Friday (from a Gareth Bale assist, but I won't mention that) so 2 on him to score again @ 8.00 looks good to me.

Finally, I can see there being loads of cards as the welsh getting a bit angsty when they are clearly a superior team but losing 3-1 with 3 minutes to go.  5 on more than 65 booking points @ 4.20

Robert Earnshaw owes me 8.25
My wife has gone to live in Amsterdam for the next couple of months, so expect a lot of mid week betting as I try to find something apart from porn to keep my amused.  Last night was my first night alone and there was only Drag Racing live on TV, but tonight I have championship rugby league play-offs.  I have thrown 3 on (slight) underdogs Halifax who are away to Batley.  Reason for my bet is that I have been to Halifax and I don't know if Batley even exists.

25 minutes in and Batley are cruising it (obviously)

Won a fiver on the Sea Eagles, so put it on the football.

Liverpool / Villa / Chelsea / West Ham / Leicester, covering getting 4/5 and 5/5 correct.

I meant to tell everyone to lump on the hammers, as before the weekend I had been to 3 games (1 draw, 2 losses) while they had won all of the others.  I wasn't going on Saturday as I was in Wales, so it was pretty much confirmed that they would win.
Sorry about that.

Was very drunk last night (celebrating leaving Wales) and won some money on the aussie girl winning the US Open.  She was leading 4-2 in the first set and still paying 2.30.  All monies won was then immediately lost on the NY Giants not winning at Washington.

Monday night football and it is QPR vs Newcastle.  Picking goals and cards (although I am not betting on Joey Barton to be booked even though he is paying 3).

Over 3.5 goals - 3 @ 4.00
Over 55 booking points - 3 @ 2.45

Talking of MNF, I have mentioned via other mediums (*cough* twitter *cough*) but Gary Neville is really good on TV.  Twat as a player, but insightful, intelligent, interesting and entertaining as a pundit.

Champions league tonight, and like a drunk sailor in a brothel, I am throwing money at anything.

Arsenal to win - 2 @ 4.20
RVP to score at anytime - 2 @ 3.25
Torres to score at anytime - 3 @ 2.00
Porto vs Shaktar draw - 2 @ 3.75
Pizen vs BATE draw - 2 @ 3.50

Another night ending up about where I started, so I will go for gold again.

A bet bundle of Man City, Man Utd, Inter Milan & Real Madrid to win @5.00 is decent, so putting 3 on that.

Other bets are a penalty to be awarded and scored in the Man City match (3 @ 4.33) and Ajax and Lyon to draw (2 @ 3.40)

I have made quite a bit on baseball lately (only to go and lose it on sh*t I know nothing about like American Football and Deal or No Deal). Not a lot of good games on today, but I have got a Multi of Texas and Phillies which pays even money. Given I have friday afternoon off I decided I would also put a bet on the College Football ESPN is showing. I've taken LSU -3.25 as a computer says they are the 3rd best team in the country and a computer has never, ever been wrong. I've multi'ed that with Texas and Phillies in a seperate multi because I'm so confident those 2 will come in.

Because I'm so confident it's almost a sure fire thing they won't so you should probably jump on the Marlins rookie @ 3.75.

Also, Frankie - If you are still using William Hill the best Value bet I've ever seen is on there being no yellow cards in a rugby union match - paying $2.20. I've done some research and since yellow cards were introduced the top 8 teams in World Rugby have been yellow carded in 32% of their games (give or take). They must have taken a large bet on it tonight because its dropped to $1.83, however its still at $2.20 for all the other games.

Milk Cup tonight, and this means upsets.

Leeds vs Man Utd on the tele, and as much as I would love Leeds to beat them again (like they did at OT a couple of seasons ago) I cannot see it happening.  Ross McCormack has been scoring goals for fun so I will chuck a couple of quid on him to score if he starts.  Otherwise, it will be a pretty hostile atmosphere so I am going for a few lost heads and a lot of bookings (3 on over 55 points @ 2.62).

Arsenal kids do well in the Rumblelows Cup, so I am having them at -3 goals against the biscuit makers (3 on Arsenal -3 @ 3.60)

Bolton are at Villa and are in terrible form.  Ergo, they will win. (2 on Bolton to beat Villa @ 4.50)

Finally, Leyton Orient will draw at Blackburn.  That is a fact. (2 on Blackburn/Leyton Orient draw @ 5.00)

Was pretty close on most the bets last night - Leeds vs Man Utd had 4 bookings in the first 60 minutes, then no more as the game petered out.  Bolton won and the O's lost 3-2.  Only Arsenal didn't give me something to cheer for in the last 10 minutes.

I hada fiver on there being no yellow card in the rugby this morning (thanks Mr Incredible) and have another fiver on there being more than 3.5 goals in the West Ham vs Posh game today (@2.20).  Also put 2 on WBA and Fulham to draw 2-2 (@ 17) as I am feeling frisky.

I was hoping our impressive recent record against Newcastle would hold up, sadly it didnt. Dreading seeing my Newcastle supporting mate I have hassled for the last 4 yrs now. A mate of mine in England I speak with got 6/7 on Sat, WBA let him down, he was very gutted.

Today I have gone for Everton to beat Liverpool (2.50 @ 2.87) and Villa vs Wigan to have less than 1.5 goals (2.50 @ 3.50).

In the Championship, I have gone for a couple of decent paying away wins - Doncaster to win at Peterborough (2 @ 4.50) and Burnley to win at Millwall (2 @ 3.40).  The reason for these bets is that Doncaster have a new manager (Dean Saunders) which will often galvinise a team, while Millwall are c**ts.

Both of my Championship bets came in, although I lost all the premiership ones.  Like West Ham, I think I have found my level....

Now have a fiver on the Warriors to win @2.75

Brisbane Roar -1 goal is $4.60 at the TAB, that looks a steal. The best I have found elsewhere is $3.70.

Phoenix -1 is $6.60, combing them in a multi, and taking the Roar as a single

Haven't done this in ages.

Bets this weekend are for all the CL teams in the Premier League to win - Man Utd to beat Sunderland, Arsenal to beat WBA, Chelsea to win at Blackburn and Man City to win at QPR.  Add to this Everton to beat Newcastle and you have an accumulator that should pay ok.

Will sort the odds out later

Finally found this thread.  Am in an ok run of gambling at the moment, so thought I would re-open this thread to see if I could kill it again.  Last night just missed out on an 86/1 acci, with Forest, Southampton, West Ham winning, Cardiff and Villa drawing, and only Leyton Orient not winning letting me down.  Tonight I am going for the following (selections in bold):

Arsenal vs Man Utd

Fulham vs Liverpool

Newcastle vs Spurs

Everton vs Palace

Real Sociedad vs Barcelona

This is paying £12.34.

As an aside, trying to find this thread involved wading through 15 odd pages of crap from the Off Topic section of the board, which made me realise how much shit I have posted in here over the years.  Apologies for anyone who has read any of it.

I am watching Toon vs Spurs on a scratchy feed in some Scandanavian tongue.

1st half all Spurs (0-2) but 2nd half Toon making a comeback.

At the start I would have picked a draw but I think Spurs will hang on for the win.

Did I say hang on?

Toon threatening but Lloris with some great work.  Then at the other end Adebayor gets his second from some slick teamwork.

Toon midfield is non-existent.  Sad and happy at the same time, especially as Fulham are 2-1 up over Liverpool.
