Terrible call on halftime, how much of a prick is Garry belcher as a commentator, he hates the warriors just talks about how sh*t they are the whole half nah mate defiantly a warriors hand, try no problem what a dick

almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Yeah it looked like a warriors player did knock it into the newcastle player
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Agreed on Belcher, especially with the "hopefully Newcastle can score before half time", but the call was fine. Was no knock on by Newcastle even if it wasn't touched by us.

Chahoo!

Agree about Belchar, f**kin painful listening to him. Blatantly calling everything in favour of them.

Fuck this stupid game

We won that game on the back of good defense. The even better thing is we are winning away from home.

NSW Origin team: Josh Dugan, Brett Morris, Michael Jennings, Mark Gasnier, Akuila Uate, Jamie Soward, Mitchell Pearce, Jason King, Michael Ennis, Kade Snowden, Beau Scott, Greg Bird, Paul Gallen (c). Interchange: Ben Creagh, Trent Merrin, Tim Mannah, Dean Young.

See I watched Melbourne vs Canberra the night before and in comparison Belcher was postively neutral in the Warriors match.

I thought the way he called that Blake Ferguson 'try' down the wing with only seeing the head-on angle was a bit of a disgrace. Obviously it was given when the above view was offered up, but even Braybrook was getting into him. It looked fairly inconlusive at best from the head on. So unbelievably pro Canberra. Brandy and Laurie manage to commentate without being so blatantly all about Penrith and Canberra, why can't he?

Not to take anything away from Canberra or us, both performed brilliantly.

Actually in general, another great round of NRL.

Has Jennings done anything this year?

Putting him in instead of Idris.

Hmmmm interesting.

Jennings had been struggling with injury's

Looking at that team makes me think it lacks a bit of mongrel

That NSW team is pitiful. Another one sided Origin coming up.

Three for me, and two for them.

Well done Jake Lillyman. NSW haven't got a chance. Riki must be on something there. Its funny how the likes of Idris play for Australia one week, can't make NSW the next. Same with Creagh, starts for Oz and then gets put on the bench for NSW.

Taken from this: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/5037401/Contract-talks-distracting-for-NZ-Warriors

WHERE THEY STAND

Lance Hohaia: signed for St Helens, gone.

Brett Seymour: off-contract, going.

James Maloney: club taken up one-year option, staying.

Kevin Locke: club taking up a one-year option, staying.

James Gavet: has a future, expected to stay.

Shaun Berrigan: undecided, likely to stay.

Alehana Mara: off-contract, undecided.

Joel Moon: out of favour, likely to go.

Pita Godinet: project player, likely to stay.

Aaron Heremaia: told to talk to other clubs, going.

Jacob Lillyman: in top form, likely to stay.

Isaac John: club has an option, likely to go.

Jeremy Latimore: off-contract, likely to go.

Matt Robinson: hasn't got close to top grade, likely to go.

Ivan Penehe: injury-blighted, could get another chance, likely to stay.

Already re-signed: Ukuma Ta'ai, Sione Lousi, Sam Rapira, Glen Fisiaahi.

Wonder where they think Seymour is off to, looks like we will be looking for a new halfback again.

With the Fish being back soon where do they put him?

Locke is playing very well at FB, you can't drop Inu or the Beast. And you have Hohaia on the bench?
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
brutal game! hell of a win

inu a bit of a muppet with getting tackled out in the last minute on first tackle but at least it didnt cost us

great time for the bye

We looked a bit tired today.

Great win again though.

That last 10 minutes was torture.

Good atmosphere at Mt Smart today. Decent crowd in, which helps

I went along.. It was a good crowd which in parts got vocal but usually it was the South Sydney supporters singing ! Anyway good game overall, Inu played very good.

Brett Seymour: off-contract, going.

Unless we make a move for someone, that's a lot of faith in Maloney and young Johnson.

It's not like decent halfbacks are cheap, and I think we want to spend decent money on a centre.

Very interesting stuff.

Maybe we could sign Junior Sau?

Wheres are all the Maroons supporters rubbing it in?

I sure would if the Blues won

It's too easy these days.

Three for me, and two for them.

Pfft

It's getting awkward rubbing it in every time we win, I've been quite humble last year/this year but I guess we should get stuck in because if the tides turn it won't be pretty, the blues fans will be clucking like crazy. Even when they took the lead last night I saw blues fans getting carried away. They won't win it this year though, not Locky's last series.

I've noticed a large increase in the number of maroon 'fans' during the past couple of years.

Kiwis have always tended to support the maroons as a rule. Can't figure out why?

Allegedly

Probably because we're so good.

I have always supported the Maroons since i first started following league near the end of the 90s.

I have an aunty in Brisbane who married a hardcore Maroons/Broncs fan and they're all mad on it now. Subsequently Queensland is the only place in aus that I've visited.
Arsenal - I think it's common for people to assume everyone jumps ship when your team has been losing for so long. I think it's more that the maroons fans have been getting louder and the blues fans quieter. Same thing happens in the premier league, part time supporters go quiet when their team isn't going so well but they pipe up when things are.

Thing is, when you have no real affiliation you pick a team and stick with it, I think most people are like that and others use what small affiliation they have to back a team. I also think very few ever jump ship. How can anyone get away with switching allegiances? unless you have no mates that follow the sport that will keep track of who you're cheering for, I can't see how you can without losing your dignity.
