The fish is gone to the chiefs. Another player with a lot of injuries but was always one of my favourites to watch. Good luck in the super rugby

Did hear thats one of reasons he never got the job before in that he is to close to the players. Not sure how true it is.I hope we dont sack another coach as i dont think thats the way to go.However he needs to be on notice that they come out of the blocks next season at full tit.

Oh I hope the don't "sack" him else it will be hard to get good coaches going forward, but just making sure he gets next full season as his chance to prove or not being hired going forward.

HAHA thats a click-bait piece if I have ever seen it.

We may be a whole country but we have less people than Sydney so hardly a fair comment.  Plus last I knew the Warriors are a club that makes money.  The NRL needs to sort its financial burdens out before it targets the Warriors.

Plus the Warriors have a solid fan-base in NZ and Aus, which = money in the NRL.

22 Aug 08:47

Feeling a bit daft right now, the first 17 minutes they had me believing in them again. Next 23 minutes show why I really shouldnt.

22 Aug 09:34

Well that was fudgeing painful.

23 Aug 01:52

Club is whukt. Needs a player clearout. More Aussies - players with something to prove that don't see the Warriors as the peak of their careers - some of those clowns they have at the moment are carrying on like they're legends of the game. Many of them are barely first graders.

An absolute fudgeing shambles. I'd be ashamed - and sadly, they seemingly aren't.

What a joke.

Can't fault the consistency. Tough to get 16-50 score lines back to back.

I had a nap during the game.... Waste of time and space they might as well default the next game or put out the under 20's

30 Aug 09:37

Well tonight sucked.

Half the squad a rookies but they should look more like they want to win.

Gubb obviously needed a break.

30 Aug 09:55

Sigh - I had hoped for an underdog type guerrilla win tonight.ffft

Its funny cause the club has said they want less focus on the U20s and more about the top team. I have not fundamental issue with that stance but when you have a team that is decimated with injuries, a few that are leaving and are just clipping the ticket, then you need that strength of your development players and its not necessarily that great as per say 5 years ago. Losing Ackland was a massive mistake for the club in my opinion.

I feel a little bit for the coach as he is changing the culture of the club at the same time as having only skin and bones to pick from with the meat on the sideline.

Why oh why do they keep getting arrogant when they get a quick lead up and then drop their arses when the opposition show some of the grit and balls that the warriors lack?

Prediction: Warriors to win this weekend by 25 points.

14 Sep 01:37

Anyone been watching the finals?

the reffing needs a huge overhaul in the off season.  Way too much grubby shark happening, way too much intentional slowing down of play.  Way too much sharke.

Cleary just got the chop from Penrith..... GO GET HIM WARRIORS! NOW!

I only caught the second half this morning.   Bloody hell it was low scoring, and England was so damn close to taking it, but good win.

Not the Warriors but thought I'd chuck this up

Captain Mannering steps down as captain to become Mr Mannering.

Hoffman to takeover.

Should be interesting.

something hasn't been working for a while so it makes sense for a change.  If it was Mannering's decision then good on him.

Would have liked to have seen Matulino take over myself
17 Feb 03:47

This move is overdue because the only way to dispel the nagging feeling that Mannering had no effect as a leader was to look at a change. If it continues under Hoffman, then its either a massive malaise at the club or 2 poor leaders (not exactly saying much really) but it was not working under him.

Don't mind this change.

I like Mannering but I can't help thinking that the type of players the Warriors have they need someone who talks and shouts a bit more as a captain.

Hoffman would scare me if he was angry. Mannering not so much.

Auckland will rise once more

17 Feb 22:25

I think Mannering was a great reliable captain and an absolute work horse.  but as is said above.  Soething needs to change other than the players.

Crossed fingers for Hoffman finding somehting Mannering couldnt.

18 Feb 22:42

The player attitudes are the only thing holding the Warriors back and has been holding them back for a number of years. Talent wise, fitnesswise, they are good as.

We needed that win, we would have been dangerously pointed at a season of catch up if we couldn't beat newcastle.  Next week will be a test, hopefully Roger scores multiple times against his old club.

So... how about them Warriors?

Doyle has been quite vocal in the media about how the team needs stability with 4 coaches in 5 years and while I get the sentiment, at least show that loyalty/sentiment for the right coach. Its very obvious this guy is not this with 6 guys hitting the piss after a hammering and most of then senior/name players. Thats what you call a lost changing room. Funnily enough, they all said the same thing when Elliott and co were in charge and how they backed the coach. Guarantee when McFadden does get gassed, then it will all come out how they really feel about him.

Yea but how many years have we spent blaming the coach?  At a certain point we have to look at the players.  If as adults they can't control themselves then there is an issue there beyond the coach.  Them choosing to go out on the piss isn't on McFadden, its on the specific players that cant control themselves.  They aren't there to be babysat.  They are supposed to be professional players and he's a professional coach.  If they cant act like professionals that's not on him.

Konrad should be suspended for retweeting that tweet undermining the coach at a minimum.

Bring back Cleary.
