We'll lose by 40.

But we are still the World Champions!

Keiran Foran is a Top top quality player, him and benji in the halves is exciting. Dont think its going to be one of those loose by 40 type games, cant see us getting a win however.

Yeah agree big Steve that it is an exciting halves combo but you can have all the excitement you want in the halves but it counts for bugger all if you have rubbish outside them to finish off

Micael Luck re-signs till 2012. Good call.

Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu signed up till 2013 and we're in talks with Steve Rapira. Things are looking upJag2010-05-10 19:30:02

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu also signed up for 3 yrs. I like Inu signing, but I do hope they didnt pay the 400k a yr that was reported for Mateo.

I wonder if Tate will re-sign now, wouldnt be much room left under the cap if true about Mateo's wages.

He has already signed I think

Apologies, he has. Ages ago. I was reading one thing and thinking something else.

I think the Inu signing might just help to add more fuel to the big rumours doing the rounds that Tate was going when his contract expired.

tbh tate has been pretty rubbish since joining for 500k per season(?), the money is better spent on buying a decent 9, 7 or 1.

Dale whats his name from radio sport said we had 500k extra last year in the salary cap, so we have a lot to play with next season with price going
10 May 19:59 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
i quite like these 2 guys, i imagine with price retiring there could still be room to keep tate aswell.

who cares if we go over the salary cap anyway its not like they ever find out

Disagree about Tate. He's been pretty solid for us and his injury last season left a massive hole which nobody filled. He'd be a loss but, now we've signed Inu, it's either him or Ropati who is likely to miss out so I think Tate will be off back to Aus.

West Stand!?!?   Yeah, if you're 80 years old.

My seat's in the East Stand. If you want to get raucous, try and get a seat in Bay 27 or 28 in the East Stand. South Stand is usually pretty good at night games, and the tix are cheaper, but it's open so you'll get soaked if it rains.

Apparently they had 500k to chuck at Smith and Cronk last year so we will still have that money plus more with Price and possibly Tate spot opening up, rumours of Blair and/or Manu. Either would be good signing.

These guys will only be good signings though if the halves deliver, Dale Budge on Radio Sport made a good point last night. Back Rowers and Centers dont win you games, 6,7,9 do. If Seymour and Maloney can form good combo (though I wonder if they see Mateo as a 6) then you have a back row with Mannering, Luck and Mateo you are starting to see a bit more punch. One more quality prop would top it all off nicely! Please Adam Blair!

Now we have some key players back we should be more competitive.

I was lucky enough to be at a bbq with the players on Tuesday night, and they are really pissed off about their last few games and massively determined to get it back on track this weekend. I'm looking forward to a good win on Saturday night.

Quick question before I fly out to Auckland, What is the best way to go from the city to mt smart?
14 May 19:50 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
Train then walk.
14 May 22:43 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
Yup train is the best way. Parking isn't the best out at MT Smart. That's if you have a car.
14 May 23:07 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
any word yet on whether thurston is playing?
15 May 02:03 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
Don't see why he's over here if he's not. Think I heard on the radio that he trained.
15 May 04:18 · edited 09 Sep 05:26

Final score 24-12 to warriors. We played alot better. But I swear when Vatuvei goes off our whole team drops.

Was a pretty mint game if I may say so myself. Its just a shame that the ground is quite a way out from Auckland City. Was funny at the train station one of the guards/info people thought it was netball being played at Mt Smart

Anyways heres the netball
