Day off, watching the Brazil-Holland 98 World Cup semi on my TV via youtube. Feels brilliant reliving my childhood like this.

Three for me, and two for them.

Popped in to the undergroyund market today, just because we strolling the waterfront.  Place there selling a Wellington jigsaw and the stadium part of the picture clearly has part of the crowd with shirts off and a 6-1 scoreline on the scoreboard.

We bought one.

WTF, D&D!?

If you've ever played D&D or any role-playing game involving dice, pencils, etc then this is for you. The two guys are very funny and know their lore. Great way to waste a few hours on a sunday.

The wife and I driving home from the city listening to the RNZ National on the radio Sunday early afternoon and there's this comedy programme, with excerpts from various comedians. They played this one from Lewis Black philosophy, state of the nation views and absurdity all in one ...

the last punchline had us crying with laughter! Nice one National Radio.

At first I though it looked ghastly, but when you see a few more pics (especially inside) it's actually quite remarkable.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Junior footy starting tomorrow.  Our first game is at KP - ground is looking good and the amount of green is encouraging.

Turns out it was actually at SFBH - a fact only realised by me and my misus after we had presented our tickets been stamped at the door, bought drinks and then some folky band started to play. thought this was a bit odd, went and asked the guy on the door what was going on and found out we at the wrong pub! He let us in and stamped our hands when we showed him tickets to Fu Manchu at SFBH... we were wasted but I don't know what his excuse was. Anyway, we got to San Fran before they started and boy did they kick ass

Going for a hot lap with Steven Richards around Manfield in his V8 Supertourer Falcon. Words simply can't explain how awesome it was. What a hell of a nice guy as well.

the rabid supporter of the government's latest controversial idea, despite their years of learning, can't explain the policy (which they are supporting)  but my friend, who pays no attention to anything stands up and gives a complete breakdown of pros and cons of the whole notion....
