Could it be a turf v home ground juggling act to save the clubs bar take?????

We've played twice (I think) at home in our 7 games, at least one of the canned games was away. which would mean at best 3 of our first 9 at Naenae.  Of course Naenae is one of the first grounds to go to a game a ground and the number 1 is often pulled meaning a 2nd half of the season where we should have a home run is a good chance to become a travelling road show.

i put my money on best business practice of manipulation of the draws for the benefit of a few to profit from.

i do notice some teams from some clubs seem to always play mid week so can call on players from other teams to help these teams and i also seem to notice teams playing at the same grounds mid week as other teams from there club so that they can share players to assist if required….

no team cards means no way to confirm my suspicions but i can say i have observed these practices first hand…..

no rule to say it's cheating but is it really helping football?

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

It's not even because of cancellations though. Rounds are just being played in a seemingly random order, where we end up playing the same teams twice before we've even seen others once.

Yeah there are still 2 teams in our division we have yet to play and not playing either of them this week either. Guess we'll end up playing the 2 of them 4 weeks in a row at some point.

kids seriously can't read signs. I was kicking wave after wave of them off the six yard box on Sat despite a rope and signs. Each time my warnings got sterner. Any more and a weapon would have been produced

DF Park is fenced and locked when closed and they still get in. Destroy the goal mouth.

So question - is there football on the weekend of the 26th of July.

I heard it was all going to be postponed due to the West Ham-Phoenix etc games.

But now I've heard it is all on Sunday

Anyone can confirm this?

Many of you will be aware of Capital Football’s goal to have all games in a division finished on the same date in 2014 to ensure fairness for all teams across all competitions.

With this in mind, a number of matches have been scheduled for Sunday, July 27th (the day after West Ham and Newcastle United play at Westpac Stadium) to catch-up games that were postponed as a result of the first round of the Chatham Cup or bad weather.

These games will involve some teams from Capital Premier, Capital 1, 2, 3 and Capital 5. There could be others depending on what results come out of coming rounds in the Cup.

As men’s football has been postponed on Saturday, July 26th, that round of Central League matches will be played on Sunday, July 27th to ensure all teams are playing their final game of the competition on the same date.

If a Central League team is in the quarterfinal of the Chatham Cup on this day then their regular match will be postponed.

Specific catch-up fixtures will be uploaded to the Capital Football website under fixtures/ results by no later than July 11th .

Is it just me or is that an epic u-turn.

Cap Footy: "Good news everyone we're giving the whole city the week off so you can support the Phoenix"

Everyone: "yaaay!"

Cap Footy: "Joking. Your games are on Sunday."

Not saying it's a wrong decision, but not very well communicated I don't think.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Imagine having bye in Cap 1 that week, you'd have to thank NW for that.

bet NW get it. For the lolz.

Allegedly

Just checked the draw for Cap 1. Wainui have NW to thank for the bye. Cap Football have been kind to Wharfies and Marist as they playing on a Monday night.

The draw still has Saturday games so I don't think it's correct. Think that whole round will be postponed with other catch up games scheduled on the Sunday.

Oh Lordy.  We are on the natural stuff this Saturday.  Or not I think.

No surprises but a lot of cancellations this week. Cancelled are Capital 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 13 as well as Masters 1, 3, 4 and 5
