Its time for the third round this weekend. Predictions on who are going through to the next round? My predictions are:

Northern Region: Forrest Hill-Milford United, Waitakere, Three kings United, Birkenhead, Eastern Suburbs, Bay Olympic, Central United, Te Atatu AFC

Central Region: North Wellington, Wairarapa United, Miramar Rangers AFC, Island Bay AFC

Mainland Region: Cashmere Technical, Universities AFC

Southern Region: Caversham, Queenstown Rovers

Yesterday is history, today is a gift, tomorrow is mystery

Birkenhead wont be going through this weekend thats for sure! Springs haven't been able to play the last round yet due to the Mangere debacle. Still not sure who Springs are playing either due to the ongoing appeal process

I reckon unbeaten Upper Hutt City could upset North Wellington, who have conceded 13 goals in the last 3 weeks

Also wouldn't write Tawa off against rapa as Tawa are at home

Pretty sure Mangere are out and rightly so.

Also wouldn't write Tawa off against rapa as Tawa are at home

Tawa struggled past Marist and whoever they played in the first round (both at home). They have nothing really. Rapa should smash them.

Was Petone. No goal until very late in the game. Then 7 added minutes.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

Tawa have been pants in both of their games so far in the cup. Rapa will tear them apart.

I have learned to never write off teams in the Chatham Cup. Ask Miramar. In 2005 as holders, they were put out of The Cup beaten by a team which consisted of many Masters players from North Wellington

From Narra's facebook page:

No match on Saturday for Seniors.
.
Regretfully, I write to advise that NZF has taken the decision to postpone the rescheduled Chatham Cup round 2 match between Ngaruawahia and Western Springs on Saturday, 25 June pending the decision of the NZF Appeal Committee. I kindly ask Federations to please notify the clubs affected.

I note that an Appeal Committee member has declared a conflict of interest in the MUSC appeal and NZF are seeking ExCo appointment of a further member to ...the committee in order to satisfy the required quorum to pass a decision. It is unlikely that this process will be completed tomorrow to allow for a decision in time.

Considering the uncertainty, we have taken the decision to postpone the aforementioned fixture.

I accept that this is extremely frustrating to all affected and would like to reassure you that NZF are working to resolve the matter with urgency.

I thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Daniel Farrow – Head of National Competitions

It will end up being a very congested playing period for Springs and the opposition, with league games already postponed and then time issues with the Cup. I wonder how far this is going to go and if we are unlikely to see resolution this month?

Due to concerns with the lack of light in the event of extra time and penalties the Palmy North Marist vs. Island Bay United match has been moved forward to a 2pm kick off.

i wonder how many of that team will be watching this weekend seeing it's old timers day?

most have been pushed or kicked out of the club by the new Junta in sheeps clothing called a committee.

and that day in 2005 was all about the home and club of NW which has now mostly gone into the winds.

but Tawa seems to still have the old spark as results have shown this year when playing at redwood.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

ECB beat Eastern Suburbs 4-2  Bays were up 2nil only for Suburbs to come back but Bays scored 2 pretty quick goals.

Have not seen much of Suburbs this year but how are they top of the table

Well deserved win to North Welly

yup deserved win, but score flattered a little and did not really reflect what was a pretty closely contested match. Certainly felt though that Upper Hutt had the upper hand just before NW scored the third from the spot.

If UH managed an equaliser they may have gone on with the job. Not to be though.

some comment given they got humped 5-1 . Convincing . Haven't been on the end of a 5-1 humping and been able to turn around honestly and said we deserved to win, utter nonsense

where did I say they deserved to win ? Get a grip man and read again what I actually said

UH had a chance to equalise, the NW keeper made a great save, then NW scored and a few minutes later got a penalty to make it 4-1.

If UH had equalised it would have been very different.

It was quite a flattering scoreline, but NW deserved the win overall.

Was a make shift back line. The only regular defender there was playing out of position at CB. The two regular CBs (who weren't there) are very good.

NCR vs MAR is at Bluewater Stadium at 2pm. NCR are normally pretty good at Twitter updates if you can't get to the game.
