If BNU had won they would have been safe from not just the bottom 2 but the bottom 3 - If Karori fail to win the playoff to Central League then there will be 3 going down as Petone have been relegated from the Central League

Is that right if Karori do not go up?

My understanding of such situations is not three down but two down and only one up from Division One below.

I am known to be frequently wrong though

There will be two Capital 1 teams cheering for Karori in early September as well. Could be a record crowd at KP?

If Wharfies don't go up, what happens in Cap 1?

Miramar would get relegated from Cap Prem, but their 3rd team finished 6th in Cap 1 - would they go down and Stokes Valley (3rd bottom in Cap 1) stay up?

Mar (3rd bottom) would then play off with LH (2nd in Cap 1) wouldn't they?

enjoy the Venus shield Warterside you worked hard over the past few seasons to get it and earn a crack to get back in the top league.

well done and good luck in the play off.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Does Taranaki have a turf at all? I wonder if Wharf trying to use the turf as advantage. Train on it all year...

Team Naki have played all their homes games on Yarrow Stadium's main pitch, but given the provincial rugby comp is about to start  id say they won't be able to for the play off game.

Merrilands or Onuku

Merrilands is all mud at the moment, I haven't played on Onuku before so unsure of its quailty,  Guessing Pukekura park may be out as well with cricket season starting soon
