One of those days I think, we had one of our better games and petone didn't. We had three fringe players playing with us (why would we drop first teamers with the firsts having such an important game down the road) and we nicked a third team guy who played well at left back. We haven't had our full squad together for awhile so we're pleased everything clicked now that we do. We also missed a pen so could have been more.

Just want to say I was stoked with the way Petone took the loss, the game was a bit niggly at stages and we abused each other a wee bit but after the game they were top lads. Good on you guys and good luck for the league race.

I heard it was more to do with the return of the inspirational skipper than the injury plagued fringe 1st team players

The skipper was a passenger, full of flu and slow as usual. He just likes to wear that arm band for show.

Think i counted 6 from the side line topleft. LH looked good as they gained confidence in the second half although welly united just never looked comfortable on the ball while even the 10 year old that came on for LH seemed relaxed with it at his feet

With 5 to go I couldn't watch any more and then an oggie went in to make it 5-1. Could have been more the way we were playing. LH were good but the surface suited their short passing footie and on a paddock it would be different. But they all looked capable.
