IB had the best of possession in the Cap 1 game at Karori but the home side took their chances and won 2-1. Horseshead played the last 5 minutes and was the only booking of the match.

Haha that was awesome Horsehead. Agree it was a pretty clean game. Wasn't sure it would be after an early challenge by Webby(?) but it was all good.
Felt pretty rough on IBU. Definitely had better of chances but punished by lack of finishing and two mistakes on defence. Cruel. But encouraging for a relatively new team.

as you say early…….
lets give it a few byes before we judge teams as kapiti might be a dark horse at home at the mighty weka park and give a few top teams a shock……
but i might be wrong

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Wouldn't be surprised if NW lodged a protest arising from their BYE fixture...

Horsehead21 and Feverish i see this weekend you have the main game at alexmoore…..

i put my money on the mince and cheese toasties back at the clubrooms after the game…..

lets hope the weather is not a factor and it is a good game.

BNU 3 - KCU 1. Could have been 6 if not for the KCU keeper.

Good turn around for Vic today

What is all this trying to wind feverish and horsehead to try and get a bite? North Welly deserved the three points today. Wharfies didn't create enough chances with the possession they had. Grow up please and move on!

Miramar 4 v Naenae 1 at DFPark. Not a happy return for Naenae lads.

BNU 3 Wharfies 0.

Early chances for both sides.

Well taken 1st goal. BNU ran away with it 2nd half.

Wharf v BNU was mostly an even match, well reffed, no yellows. BNU took their chances well for a deserved 3-0 win.

Karori no. 3 was a real leveller - very damp under and foot, and very narrow

so did BNU have the advantage of the grass pitch being wet and narrow or do you mean Karori should of lost by more but conditions did not help this to happen?.
i would of thought BNU would prefer a nice artificial pitch like wakefeild….

It definitely stopped BNUs style of play - levelled things for Karori. Who were a very young team - them versus Wainui will be a key game for the season I think

Also - all three relegated teams from last year in the bottom 3 at the moment...

Any Wellington United people have an update on the guy who did his cruciate?  Poor bloke looked in a fair bit of pain. Hope he's feeling a bit better today.

Oh and can we have our Ice pack back :)

The Last Nomad (BNU keeper) says Karori No 3 is narrow. The Wandering Gloveman needs to go to Specsavers. The three fields at KP are all approx 74 metres wide.

Compare this with Farrington 67m, Wakefield 1+2 70m, Kilbirnie 70m, Newtown 66m, Redwood 70m, Kelburn 60m, Wembley 69m, Old Moyes 68m, Stamford Jose 67m, Anfield 68m, A-League (all parks) 68m. Sorry...no size known for Memorial or Maidstone.

The Nomad also said K3 was wet. True, but it had rained a bucketful and K3 was less wet than either K1 or K2.
