Having teeth pulled is more enjoyable than playing Olympic.

I had just had a tooth removed before the Olympic game, surgically removed and stitches in my gum.

I cam honestly say that the experience was far better than the game against Olympic.

Report from Pc v Karori Kittenz

Well the Kittenz had been mouthy all game and there had been many times in the game were fights just about broke out. But right at the end C got pushed by #3 from the Kittenz, so C pushed him back, this resulted in #3 basically beating the crap out of C until he was on the ground. But once on the ground #8 form the Kittenz then ran in and kicked C in the back. This incident was seen by  a referee who told me to ring CF  and that I could use his name as a reference. C now has a black eye and had a bleeding lip and nose.

sounds standard for Cap16.

If he was in the penalty area I can guarantee the Nighthawks would have missed.

tbf, some of the Kittenz lads do like to play the hard man a bit, considering the attitude of most of the teams in that grade.  Surprised them vs the Bubbles didn't result in a few deaths.

haha I'm in the UK but was a part of the Kittenz and consider myself to be a kitten still! I'm going to get on the email to the lads but unless we have had some new recruits since i've left then this sounds highley unlikely... from memory the last time we played porirua it was the ginger lads from your side engaging in unprovoked violence - all be it handbags

good win to the Kittenz though I hear, perhaps thats the real reason behind this post?

A win?  Strange since the Capital Football website hasn't put a result - Perhaps because they're too busy INVESTIGATING THE INCIDENT and conferring with the official referee in the neighbouring game who saw the whole thing and suggested reporting it to CF (using his name as a reference).

Let's get a few things straight.

It's the second time Kittenz played Porirua, and the second time a lees than enjoyable experience was had by all due largely to one Porirua player. I don't know his name, but he was the ginger headed player in number 14 I believe, or as a previous blogger called him "C".......I can only guess what four lettered word "C" stands for?

During a game in which on more than one occasion "C" or (14) managed to upset almost everyone participating including his own players. I had a conversation with one of his defenders who stated that "14" was always causing trouble and was a pain in the backside. Apparently the week before again "14" was causing trouble.

So to the FACTS about incident in question.

1. Corner kick near the final whistle
2. "3" went to head the ball, and so did "14"
3. Both players collided
4. 14 turned and pushed 3
5. 3 grabbed 14 by his collar
6. 14 punched 3 in the head
7. 3 defended himself with a swift combination- and so by ensuring 14 would not be able to do so again

That's all I saw, I can't comment on anything else, but if anyone disagrees with 1 through 7 they were not there or not looking, or maybe suffering from concussion.

Last comment from me, anyone who thinks it's okay to punch someone during a game of football should consider the consequences that some people might just defend themselves.

Totally agree.  You certainly need to pick your battles.  The issue I have is with this kick in the back that a few saw including this ref.

Neighbouring game? I was there on the sidelines...at Ben Burn Park...which does not have a neighbouring pitch. Also, the ref wasn't on the lean side and struggled to keep up with play.

Firey gingers couldn't handle being outplayed by a bunch of Wharfies boys who'd been "on the piss again.." the night before. I'd be frustrated losing to them too, but at the end of the day it's Capital16!

Surely Porirua City aren't going to lessen the standard of lower grade football to that of Indoor Netball - by putting in a request for a "3feet" rule? Agree with Kittenz#3 that if you attack another player then unlike professional sport, you have to expect some form of retaliation.

Dont have a problem with people defending themselves. But KICKING someone when they are on the ground is just cowardly and to defend them is just as bad!

Achtung Petone:

We've look like we've lost 4 players to another club side for Saturday.  Should still have a side, but if it's dodgy might have to pull tomorrow AM...  I'll keep you posted.

18... 1 back to the Masters (they've lost a couple as well), 4 to the more senior team, 1 doesn't play away games... 2 away... a couple potentially borked...

We're in business.  Dragged some of the crocked and injured back (and added some elderly and infirmed), up to 14 for the Nighthawks and 14 for the Pace... awaiting a call back on a couple more.

Sent four from the Nighthawks and a couple from the Pace to the 'other' match.  Should run a sweep on the result of that one.

Sideline action from Petone/Naenae today.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
