"Jono Sole was replaced with James Trotter on 58 minutes after a brain explosion saw him lose his rag at Michael Greene using some extremely foul language."

This should be fun hearing Feverish's explanation...

.....and a few referees have as well!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Because people don't pass him the ball enough.

nice enough chap, but kind of brainless on the football field.  The only player I know who will beat a player 4 times by his own corner flag when losing 1-0 and in injury time, instead of getting the ball forward.  Also, cannot pass the ball unless he has done at least 2 cryuff turns no matter what position team mates are in.

Having said that, I cannot imagine Soley being upset about not getting the ball - he was always scared of it when I saw him play.

Is there any better way to start a day than getting stuck in to Greene ?

Surprised Granville hasn't mentioned the shocking display at Futsal Sunday night where he had to have a wee lie down after each run he made.

How's my driving? - Whine here

jeepers - im sorry I posted that match report now. Me and Jono love each other really. I just ran out of opposition players to shout at. The team made me change wings before he got dragged. I think it's kind of ironic when a team mate shouts at you not to shout at them.

Seems to be a disturbing trend amongst the Fever moderators. Smithy has the running style of a fifty year old. Feverish has the stamina of a 50 year old. Hard News is a 50 year old.

Feverish wrote:
We don't cope with the favouritism, says Keinzley
06.05.2008
By Gary Caffell
Wairarapa United soccer coach Phil Keinzley doesn't think complacency was an issue for his side when they were beaten 2-1 by Waterside-Karori in their Capital Soccer premier division match played at the Pugh Sports Bowl in Masterton on Sunday.
The lack-lustre performance by Wairarapa United had some spectators suggesting the players did not have their minds on the job but Keinzley believes it was more a case of them failing to cope with public expectation on the home front.
And not for the first time this season either with an earlier 4-1 loss to Tawa at the Queen Elizabeth Park oval coming after a similar effort.
"I'm starting to think we don't cope with the favouritism tag too well, particularly when we are at home,"Keinzley said. "We don't play with near the same confidence as usual under those circumstances, it's like everybody freezes because of what is expected of them."
Keinzley freely concedes Wairarapa United were fortunate to come out of Sunday's match with only a goal separating the two sides.
He said that if marks out of 10 had been given Waterside-Karori would probably have got an eight with Wairarapa United struggling to get above three.
"They (Waterside-Karori) would have to the best team we have struck so far this season, they defended well and they attacked well," he said. "They were just so much more efficient than us it wasn't funny. We could have had no complaints had they won by four or five goals.""
Keinzley was so impressed by Waterside-Karori in fact that he has labelled them as favourites for the premier division title, a somewhat surprising assessment at face value when you consider Wairarapa United hammered them by five goals in a Hilton Petone pre-season tournament match.
But not so difficult to understand when you consider their current combination is rather different to what it was then.
"They are a lot tighter at the back now and their midfield has been strengthened too, they are a formidable unit " he said. "They haven't lost a competition game yet and it's going to take a big effort to knock them off."
Keinzley said there were few aspects of the Wairarapa United effort on Sunday which satisfied him although the solidness of goalkeeper Matt Borren was a definite plus. "He will probably look back and say he should have done better when one of the goals was scored but he pulled off a number of excellent saves, he was our player of the match by a long way," Keinzley said.
The enthusiasm shown by a couple of youngsters in Koto Maeno and Anton Ross when they came off the bench late in the second half also pleased Keinzley, so much so he is seriously considering making changes to the starting XI for the next premier division match against Upper Hutt at Upper Hutt on Saturday.

Without wanting to stir or anything, well ok I do, it seems to have gone very quiet over the Rimutakas.

I was reading someone else's mail this morning and found this:

Player: Potter James
Offence: Showing dissent through words and/or actions.
Fine: $35.

I presume they just send him one every week.  If not they may as well!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Ahem, I am playing every week... but for the reserves. Therefore this topic should be moved to the Capital 1 thread.

And Smithy - I usually stay on the field for 90 minutes, but whether I actually "play" for 90 is a matter of debate.

Island Bay beat Karori 3-1 on an ugly shark park. Wharfies didnt take their early chances - especially my shots which were more like back passes. Couple of good goals for the Bay, and a good free kick for Karori my Minnett. Karori missed a pen. Nate "Rip Van" Winkle and Pedro or Petero or whatever his name is (one of the ones getting paid megabucks who is gonna be deported allegedly) were the difference. Their ugly but effective keeper did well too.

Mar Vs Upper hut was a good game. Some really good football.Their Goal was a lob from the touchline as Disco Dil came out the box to clear and then the guy just lobed it back in. 1-0 t0 them at Half.Second haf started with a rocket with the Mar just attack after attack.Kripps hit the post but it was always going to come for the Mar and the game was end to end most of the second.Good for a spectator.

Point of Note was the Ref awarding the UH a peno for a handball when it clearly came of capsticks head.He checked with his lino and changed his discission.Fair enough this happens all the time.

Karori v Tawa game was decided in the first 10 min of the second half. Karori 1-0 at halftime, then Tawa knocked in three after kick off due to some sloppiness.Unbelievable. Bloody tough of Wharfies as we controlled the majority of the game. 3-2 in the end. Tawa dont have any superstars. Not too sure how they are top of the table to be honest - but consistency from game to game - and during the full 90 must be their key. Hairy lad at the back wins a lot of headers. Woody Patrick playing a great game in the black and white.

not sure how their top of the table??
they have been top from start to now... win percentage of 75%, its pretty easy mathmatics really if you keep getting results you will be top don't need superstars to do that - in saying that kaori dosn't have any superstars either in fact id be struggling to name one superstar in capital premier
