I presume Horsehead21 is still eating his humble pie. I recall he was predicting Caversham by 10. A 2 goal defeat whilst playing with only 10 men is a very creditable scoreline

well horsehead was right in a way there was 10 goals in the game. Cavy still lack the abillity to defend at corners. Paddy Flem scored a cracker of a goal  to make it 5-4 then seen the best sub for a long time Coastal subed of a defender and brought on there reserve keeper and sent there #1 up front nearly worked.

No it wasnt - there was no passion in the game and it was a crap liam little blunder that caused the eventual winner... bit of an upset though considering central had 2 all whites playing for them and a bunch of national leaguers.

Rip snorter of a game. 1-1 at half time after an enthralling first 45 minute arm wrestle. Batesy being sent off 5 minutes into the 2nd half fired Coastal up after conceding 2 goals in 2 minutes at the start of the half and they dominated for the next 25 minutes to get back to 3-3. Needed to score again before Cavy but couldn't quite do it, after a bit of ping pong in the Coastal box Overton fired home at point blank range,Coastal equalised through a Turnbull 25 yarder that was pretty spectacular (especially considering the tap in he missed against Tech last week) but Patrick Fleming's response on behalf of Cavvy with 10 to go was just as good (and the serve he gave the visiting fans, gotta love it!). Wrapped it up with another well taken goal with minutes left on the clock. All in all a good day out, some good footy, some great finishing and met some new people passionate about the game(oh, that was us).

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

"While the Rovers could draw Wairarapa when it's done live on Radio Sport after 2pm tomorrow, Bevin said it would be good to play other teams nationally too, after the Phil Keinzley outfit from Masterton pipped Team Wellington 1-0 in added time from a Seule Soromon goal on Saturday."

Cynicism aside, I actually didn't know that the rules provided for a regional draw up to now.

So it's not been rigged, it's just been done according to the rules, which is regional until the quarter finals.

Which is proper ghey, but such is life sometimes.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Saves NZF or its clubs going bankrupt though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Too true..

Costs are definitly a factor, any flights out/in to Dunedin are very costly..

Hopefully Dunedin does get a home game against a Northern opponent!

I'm still hoping for an all Dunedin final at the new stadium

Possibly the biggest game of Football to be played in the 'Rapa for a while/ever. Furthest a mens teams ever got in a National competition anyway.

Pretty keen to go and see how Waitak handle farm country.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
