shows when your not winning the things you can bitch over. happens at most clubs in wellington when theres a 12.30 game.
remind me when you have played Cap Prem Bob?

will do.

good to see you taking the moral high ground there.

will make sure we lay the red carpet and block any use of fellow footballers in the month leading up to karoris visit this year.... o wait.... hold on.

well your complaining about sharing a changing room... pathetic.
is that all you have against marist from your visit to kilbirnie park?
or is there more to the story in terms of the karori/marist fixture?

wasnt even there son. Playing Cap1 where Im happy to share changing rooms. Will be interesting to see how other Prem teams feel about sharing with randoms if that is the case.
Crawl back to the Cap2 thread now Bob - end of your excitement for the day.

Just curious why people are so precious about having to move their gear to share some changing rooms?

Do you not have enough supporters for one of them to keep an eye on the bags on the sideline?

Serious question.

Wasn't the question about sharing a changing room rather than moving gear?  As in, there was a team's gear (or a team) already in the changing room when the prem team arrived to get changed.  In which case who was that team and why are they too cool to move their gear out?

It's pretty standard practice for teams playing the early game to vacate for teams playing the late game.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Well this particular scenario aside as I dont know the details but having to do your team talk with a bunch of randoms from another club getting changed and listening in a crowded dressing room would not be ideal IMO.

Ok here is the scenario

UH vs Marist 2nds on Kilberinie 1 at 12:30 - When we arrived for our game at 1ish, and went to get changed. Our changing shed was empty of any second team gear. It SHOULD have been the same for Wharfies room - Upper Hutt should have taken their gear out. If they hadn't then there was deffinetly some mix up somewhere, as our 2nd team lads knew to take their gear with them, and at no point did we have to share the room with them. Again this should have been the case for Karori, but if it wasn't then that's a bit poor on our part - either that or Upper Hutt were a bunch of numptys and ignored any i nstructions given to them.

But this is all hearsay, as I really don't know.

Clear as mud!

the what happens after the early game?

The only thing which really becomes a problem when there are teams from 12.30 and 2.30 games sharing the changing rooms is the time between the end of the early game and when the teams emerge for the 2.30 game.  The guys in the early game want to get out of their sweaty gear and have a shower and the teams from the main game are getting their final team-talks which should be done in isolation.

Usual practise is for the guys in the early game to just wait ten minutes in my experience.

We upper hutt took our gear out with us once we had got changed.  After the game when we went to get showered and changed after our victory (which was quite good for some so called numptys ) there was no Karori players in there.  So Im not sure who this team in there or whose gear it may have been.

Anyone wanna divulge anything on Marist? Apart from Blellocks instructions to kick the sh*t out of one of our players till he loses his rag?

We have an average age of 12, theres a tidbit for the Popes Own.

Surely the keeper can't be as bad as everyone says.....i mean f**k.....we have Granville in goal FFS.

Blellock will enjoy having an opposing coach that he can look down at for once.

Battle of the hobbits.  Frodo v Bilbo.

So Luca says to me at training tonight "Brian told me to tell you to stop slagging his team off on YF"

How is the above statement slagging his team off? Thats the idea of a forum Brian, open discussion :) good luck to Ben P and the Marist lads for Sunday.

I think it was the rather average comment about 12 year olds and catholics - frankly I didn't even get it at first... maybe that just says more about me.

As for me being as bad as everyone says I am... I dunno, I'm probly a wee bit worse, I just hide it really well!

Just re-read my post, can see how that would offend....what I meant to say is that we're just a fairly young side - no malice intended!

See you Sunday, i'll the fat one in the middle not doing much running :)

Carney.

PS. See everyone, banter can be friendly - yes you bobbybolton or whatever ya name is. Tool.

have a laugh mate, chote hit the post once in the first half, second half miramar had nothing apart from the goal right on the 90th minute. good game to them though, we just didn't wake up for the first half an hour and got punished

Wests 3 - Marist 2.

Grumble grumble, a draw probably would of been a fair result. Both teams had a hatful of chances. Wests scored the winner with about 3 minutes to go

I hate playing on Sunday

If I hadn't been nutmegged by Finch for the winner I'd happily accept that compliment. Make sure you smash him at training on Tuesday for me

So was it your side who hit the woodwork four times during the game, Miramar were not that good in the 2nd half but I dont seem to remember your side being that much better judging by your goal tally

That was a great goal though, Musgrove just steam-rolled his way down the right through two players and with a nice plum ball into the box, i dont think too many keepers would want to be in the position you were after that. Good game, I enjoyed watching it.

Was Musgrove not suspended from his red card on Easter Monday?  Or was it just a one week suspension?

a draw would have been fair imo but we'll take the 3 points. lastnomad was electric in goal to be fair.

game was played mostly in good spirit, although I was lucky to not be sent off for a fairly crude studs up tackle. apologies.

#4 in the middle for Marist is class, wee english lad. Magic.

Good luck to Marist, see at Kilbirnie Stadium later in the year.

Watched the Upper Hutt / Stop Out game yesterday and not a bad game. Stop Out unlucky not to have the win, I think the disallowed goal was a bit dubious, as was the last 20 of play by Upper hutt after a good display prior but two teams worthy of the fight for top spot.
