Yeah i know who Fifi is, i meant did he scoop the Wests no.10
Ah.
Probably Gowan Stares I think. Not 100% though.
Nope. Gowan was No. 5, and, (though I may be a little biased), played bloody well screening in front of the back three getting stuck in, breaking up the play, working hard covering along the defensive line and winning the majority of balls in the air - essentially doing exactly the job Lloyd asked him to do. Jordan Valentic-Holden was man-marking Fifi and in my view did very well all game considering who he was up against. Sure, Fifi was class, very tricky and did cause Jordy some problems but I thought all up Jordy did a damn good job on him for a 15 year old - he competed physically very well. Given that there were 3 other 15 year olds in the team (Gowan, Jake Harris and Josh Finch), as well as several others only one or two years older, I thought Wests competed pretty well and played their part in a decent game of football.
First half was pretty even - we had a number of really good chances to score and for large parts of the half, were in the ascendency. I felt when the Stop Out goal in the first half came it was a little against the run of play. 2nd half, Stop Out came out with much more purpose, showing their extra experience and we were under the pump for large parts of the second period. However, even then, we had two or three good chances to score but didn't. Overall, Stop Out deserved to win. They probably deserved to score three based on the chances they created (although I thought the penalty against Joe Harris a little bit harsh) but we certainly deserved to at least notch a couple and make it a closer score line. However, we didn't so 3-0 it is.
